Canting Away Winter Festival

There's been a lot of talk in Canting about this year's Solstice/Christmas/Midwinter Festival, particularly from the veterans, who remember the previous ones. We've also been trying desperately to think of a time that doesn't involve someone staying up all night or rising at the crack of dawn to get there. I've had a brainwave. Instead of one event, how about a whole day of them? There will be something that suits everyone there, surely!

This entry will remain the definitive programme of the day, however I'm likely to be asleep during the early part of it. If I'm not around, then any urgent messages or programme changes will be announced on Zach's blog. Alternatively, just come into Canting Away (Runescape chat channel, user name: Merch Gwyar) and ask. Someone will shout up where we all are.

For the events 0.00 to 12.00, Krazy Karl5 will be editing together a film of all of our screenies and footage. If you've taken a picture or filmed it, please put it somewhere on-line and message him here on Sal's. Let him know the URL of the picture or raw film and also the name of the event where it was taken. Thanks!

19:00: F2P: We will attempt to have a simultaneous line of fires stretching from Varrock west gate to Fally north gate. We will meet at Varrock west, where Simple and I will both have supplies of logs and tinderboxes for those who weren't prepared. Each person will have 10 logs and wait 10 spaces ahead of their friend. When everyone is in position, then the shout will go up in Canting and everyone lights ten fires in a row.
