As of now (well, yesterday I think), my membership has run out and I have decided that this will be the opportune time to take a needed break from RuneScape.
I
everyone in Canting and here, but RS has become an unhealthy part of my life. I have used it to hide from what has been going on in RL and that needs to stop. I just need some time to deal with myself for a while. I am not leaving for good. Just until I find some balance in my life.
There is a certain member named Jamesbong0 saying that I am dead, as you can see this is a lie... or is it? o_O (he knows me irl so he's been telling people that to try to get a rise out of them *eyeroll*)
I
you guys and I hope to be back soon! <333
Here are a couple pics that I've taken and haven't posted yet:
This one is funny. Some one tried to deposit their runes in Stealing Creation and accidentally traded them to me instead, so I ended up getting the most points. This sight will never be seen again as I pretty much fail at SC. ![]()

and a random clue scroll that I did. Honestly, in comparison to the others I've done, this one isn't bad.
I R Wc Nub!

I know in my last blog I said I was going to wait until Friday to get my 99 with Karl... but time zone differences make things hard. He had his party planned for 9am my time. Not good for me since I work nights and generally don't wake up until noon or later. So I had a spontaneous party this afternoon with a everyone that was in Canting at the time. ![]()

Raff, Dr Laviathan, Tanya, and me in the back.
We all sat around THE tree. To go all nostalgic I used a bronze hatchet on a normal tree.

Then when everyone was ready I made that final cut. Fireworks when off everywhere!
Here it is! Thank you again for vidding it!
(I couldn't figure out how to embed vids on here.
I got my Cape With A Tree On it and emoted. Finally, after all this time, I get to see my achievements happen. I was so happy. We made a line and followed Raff all across runescape all the way to Yanille.

Where we decided to raid Pie's house for a while.
After coming back I went to see a fellow Woodcutting Nub that I met at ivy a few weeks ago. He got 99 about a week before I did. We talked next to Fally farm patch and got synced emotes. lol.

amg... 10M total xp gain in only one month. DAMN, I DO NOT HAVE A LIFE! but it is currently paying off because I am literally INCHES from 99 woodcutting. Less than 1k close, but I am waiting for Krazy Karl 5 to catch up so we can lvl together.
I even lent out my d hatchet so I won't be tempted to go out and get it anyway.
As soon as I have concrete details of the when I'll post another blog.
Till then, I'm going to be collecting slime at the Ectofunctus. oh, joy... but it will help me get 70 prayer which I am happy about. 900 buckets of slime is easy compared to 900 crushed dragon bones. >.> what do I get myself into?![]()
EDIT: IMMA GET SOMETIME TODAY. Can't wait...

Distracted And Diverted
Posted by AquarianPixi, Jun 8 2010, 08:02 AM
Warning... insomniatic incoherentness...
Magics have been fun, but they are so slow. I've already had it in my mind that I am going to get woodcutting first. It was really nothing more than a mathematical situation. Mages give 225xp per log while each magic lonbow gives 182xp. So I would be getting more xp in woodcutting thus it would be leveled first. That got me thinking though... if I am going to get it first, why don't I just train it exclusively for a while. That way when I go back to cutting mages for the sake of fletching, it will be a faster ride.
So that's what I have been doing. I was off yesterday so I managed to gain 800k woodcutting xp from ivy. :faint: As you probably know, ivy gets boring... fast. So to stop the monotony every once in a while I went after my favorite woodcutting related pasttime. Evil trees.
The first was early yesterday morning. I was chatting with Tanya and realized that an evil tree was due to sprout any min so we placed ourselves strategically around the map, hoping to read the clue and get there as fast as possible. I was hopping from spirit tree to spirit tree so no one would know that I was sprout scouting. While Tanya stayed at the ge because she was drying her hair.
FINALLY the clue was given. Yanille! I used my dueling ring and I was off running to the sprout. I was a little late. As soon as I got there the sprout errupted to a Evil Magic Tree. ![]()

Unfortunately Tanya couldn't cut magics yet.
So I roughed him up extra for her.
Later, (after getting a little sleep.
) I was getting bored of ivy again so I checked the evil tree status. Just sprouted in Draynor.
I cabbaged over and south of Draynor was another Evil Magic!!
I called it out to Canting, but no one decided to show up.
Did I meantion I was nolifing? So I was off to find another tree a couple hours later. But I lost track of the time
I was 6 mins late so I was able to just tree port directly to the tree....
IT WAS AN ELDER!
My very first elder tree ever! I would have shouted my location... but I didn't know where I was until much later.
It was just west of Edgeville.
So after more ivy. I finally got 89 woodcutting! And thus ends my non sleep ramblings... insomnia sucks.
EDIT: I can't believe I almost forgot! While cutting ivy I got my first Spirit Seed from a nest!
only 5 more lvls till I can plant it.
Omg The Voices!

Hahaha!
There was a little down time with the servers this morning so I decided to try out the Demo version. My speakers happened to be quite low at the time so when the narrator started talking I thought I might be going crazy.
That might still be up for debate, but I didn't imagine that voice. It was quite enjoyable to hear Sir Vant talking for the first time. Though I'm glad it isn't like that for all quests. It would just get old fast. Even by the end of the short quest I was already interrupting the speakers because I was reading it faster than they were saying it. I enjoyed the introduction quest, though I have to admit that I did miss tutorial island.
for random blogs about nothing!

This has been a really fun month in Runescape, particularly the last little bit of it. I finally tore myself away from gnome stronghold long enough to not only finish Regicide, but Roving Elves as well.
(strange glitch were it didn't tally up my quest points correctly. It should read 161 instead of 160.)
I haven't really left Lleyta since starting Mep1... and at this rate I might never leave.
I have been running back and forth from the 3 mage trees that are just out the door of the little town. Today, I even got to go to my first evil tree in elf land! I was on my way back to the bank and I got rooted. So I quickly ran to the bank, dumped all my magic longbows inside and ran back. It was a Maple evil tree, and I was the only one there!
It was just me for most of the time. It wasn't until way after the first lightning strike that someone else popped up. It was still a long chop with only two of us and the third lightning strike killed the tree before we could. It was a great tree!
You might have noticed the change from my normal attire, or at least notice that I am wearing a 104M green H'ween mask. It definitely isn't mine!
Another player was chopping at the mages and he spontaneously lent it to me for 24 hours! I honestly didn't know what it even was at first, but it seemed rude to say no. The change through me off at first, but now I'm starting to really like it.
Though, not enough to try to buy one for myself. I wish I would have thought to write down his name, but thank you where ever you are. ![]()
<.< I need to stop staying up till 5-6 o'clock in the morning...
Regicide
Posted by AquarianPixi, May 28 2010, 04:12 PM
After not being able to sleep I logged back on. I figured I could start Regicide and then finish it later with Pie.. but that kinda didn't happen...
I got my quest gear on. Which included black d’hide, magic short bow, holy symbol, explore’s ring, and of course my gnome goggles.
The first thing I noticed while starting the quest was all the floor glitches. Being stuck in the stronghold all this time I never had a chance to see them, but while in Ardy castle they were clear as day. While on the first floor you could see all the walls sticking up from the ground floor. Whatever though as they didn't hinder my ability to talk to King Lathas and get this ball rolling.
Soon I found myself back in the Underground Pass. I have to admit it was loads easier now. I had to go look up one of my journals because I couldn't remember what my floor pattern. Even the little trip to Iban's room wasn't so bad. Though it is still annoying to fail that last step before you get there. Especially when you do it more than once. It seemed after no time at all though that I was inside and about to see the elf lands for the first time.
I stepped from the dark cave, shielding my eyes from the sudden light. I was still trying to get my barrings when a lone elf approached me. I have no idea what she wanted because before she could say anything two more elves came out of the bushes and shot her down. WTF?! That was my first clue that things were not right in elf lands. It was with a major dose of doubt for my quest that I went looking for Elf Camp, hoping for answers.
Needless to say I got lost within minuets.
But it was a great chance for me to accustom myself with the lay of the land. I found one elf that didn't run from me or completely shut me out. This elf didn't car about petty disagreements. She was fully satisfied to play music for the pawyaya (which are sooo! cute) and any traveler passing by. Elf, human, or otherwise.
Refreshed, I set off again. Let me say now, those woods are impossible at first. Eventually I found the Elf Camp and talked to Lord Iorwerth. As it turned out I had to go find the tracker. Cool, I had actually seen him on my way there so I was able to find him in minuets. Wouldn’t you know it though… he doesn’t believe me. Proof you say? I’ll give you proof. >_> So I had to go all the way back to Elf Camp (which after a couple trips isn’t actually that far), and received a crystal pendant… which looked awfully familiar. Ah, yes. It is because the exact same necklace design has been used not only once, but twice before. First in Tree Gnome Village (Gnome Amulet), then in The Waterfall Quest (Glarial’s Amulet). In other words lazy necklace designers are lazy.
(I had to snap this pic
)
Anyway, after the tracker finally believed me, he taught me how to travel between the dence forest after I found some footprints. It was time to try to find Tyras Camp. I was surprised by the guard that came out right after I stepped from between the branches, but it told me I was on the right trail. The battle was easy enough. I just threw up my protect from melee and shot steel arrows to his face till he fell over. Again I ask, is it really range if your still only one square away? ![]()
I finally made it to the camp, but I was completely walled out. I found it though so Lord Iorwerth had to be informed. He gave me a book called Book o’ Bang.
Reading it I found I needed brimstone. Which for some reason made me thing of that one scene in Shrek, but I’m glad it did because I knew that brimstone was sulphur (or something like that
) and I had seen some of that to the south. Hovering my curser around I also found some tar. I remembered that there were some barrels in Tyars Camp so I went back for a couple and scooped up the coal tar. Then I cabbaged off to see a chemist. First though I ran to a bank so that I could telle to the GE and get a chunk of limestone. Quicklime sounds like limestone right? Then I went back to the chemist and was thrilled to see that I was right! With the chemist’s information I ran back to Fally to cook my limestone. I went to grind it up and… it blew up in my face. So I had to go back to the bank and get another limestone and a pot. This time it worked and I headed back to the chemist’s again.
That machine was insane! Ok, I’ll admit it I wasn’t really paying much attention when it was explained how to work it. So I ended up blowing it out twice before I finally was able to refine my tar. I added my other ingredients and I was told all that I needed now as a fuse. From other quests I knew that cloth was usually used for these homemade bombs. Grabbing some balls of wool and I made some cloth. It was now time to go all the way back through the Underground Pass… yay…
One thing I noticed on my way back. Anyone ever noticed that witches houses in RuneScape always have wind chimes? I like that little detail.
I also noticed that when you are standing outside Iban’s room the red rays of death are still striking inside even though when you walk in it is completely different. What can I say, I start noticing things like that when I get really tired.
I’m soooo glad I don’t have to do the Underground Pass anymore… just saying.
As a woman I know that they quickest way to a mans heart is through his stomach… or at least it’s a great way to distract him while your bombing his camp.
That cooked rabbit really did the trick. Cutscene came and the deed was done. I headed back to Elf Camp to tell Lord Iorwerth such. He gave me a not to give to King Lathas and I now have passage on the over ground pass. Thank Guthix for that. I made my way back to Ardy and was stopped by an Elf. He opened up the note. What?! How many times am I going to be led to doing the wrong thing to further the plot?! I guess the least I could do is become a spy and set things right. Pretend I don’t know anything. *check* Act normal. *check*
“King Tyras is dead!” I beamed to King Lathas. He said act normal Pixi! >_< Oh well, he seems to be more stupid that I apparently am. So he fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.
QUEST COMPLETE!
I really didn't mean to do this quest all in one sitting. ^.^; It was just so engaging that I couldn't stop once it was started.
Elemental Workshop Iii
Posted by AquarianPixi, May 28 2010, 01:11 AM
Chop, chop, chop, chop, chop, fall, fft, fft, fft, fft, fft, fft, fft....
Really it's starting to get monotonous. I have hardly left the gnome stronghold in days.... weeks. Constantly teased by higher level implings, racing to trees in the vain hope that MAYBE I'll get more than just one log before the thing falls, and gnomes getting underfoot all day long. Really I was bored. Then I catch wind of a new quest out. I know that there have been a few quests released recently, but for some reason I really wanted to do this one... a decision that I was soon to regret.
Elemental Workshop III... Honestly, I had to first do Elemental Workshop II. Details right? It really wasn't that bad. It had some of the same elements of the first one. Searching through boxes for missing pieces and all that. It took me about an hour to complete this quest. I get distracted easily.
I would keep getting questions sent my way about Elemental III, and I felt so bad that I couldn't help them... though in retrospect the questions still don't make sense.
I think a lot of people were completely lost.
Now I could finally start number 3. The beginning of the quest was easy enough. I got the book and thought "Hey.. that kinda looks like a key," and then saw that clay was needed it didn't take a great jump in logic to realize that you need to make a mould using the clay on the book. People in Canting have been bemoaning this quest since yesterday so I chucked honer to the wayside and opened up wiki to see what else I would need. I primed my elemental bars and headed down further into the depths...
Even with wiki's help I spent more than 7 hours on those silly puzzles. I guess that is what you get for following a guide on a brand new quest. It isn't quite refined yet so you get mix results on the effectiveness of the help given. After much trail and error (especially the error) I got all the puzzles completed and got my first plate charged. Then I found out that the next little bit of the guide still wasn't correct so I reset the puzzle to do the entire last sequence again... x2 since I had three plates to charge.
Finally it was all compete and I ran upstairs to my my body body (
what a name). Then promptly made my body shield. I could finally walk out of there!

About the lack of story line in this quest. I didn't really expect much else. There wasn't really a story line in the first two that I could think of. Just a series of "Oh, lets see what this does" and bumping a long until you finally make something and you would get the big scroll saying you were done. Maybe in part IV we will get chaos legs?
And wouldn't you know it... I'm now in a questing mood again. lol. We'll see if it's still there when I wake up. I know exactly what quests I need to do if the mood is still there. *cough*Regicide*cough*
When I get that out of my system I am going back to my 99 goals. I'm thinking 1st Woodcutting, 2nd Fletching, 3rd Fishing, 4 cooking (3&4 might be vise versa), then 5th farming. Then, who knows ^.^
... this is going to take years
