Statistics: Currently 8 kits, latest: 5/28/07 (N.P.C. Chat). Latest Collection: 5/28/07 ("Common" N.P.C.s). Updates: Most Recent Major: 8/06/07 Most Recent Normal: 8/06/07

I am making the ultimate collection of runescape faking kits to make the world of faking easier. I just made a few so far, but there will be many more by the time I'm done. Here is the list of kits, green means I have it, red means I'm still planning it, orange means it's a collection of stuff (but not an actual kit), and if it has before its date, it is fairly new. If you see before it, this kit has been updated within the past week, and if you see a green date in parentheses next to the normal one, this has been updated fairly recently, and if it's blue, it may be at least a month old. If you see before the date, then I must have recently done a lot to this kit, and you should check it out! Note: You don't have to give credit, unless you use an item or object I made, or the kit tells you to give credit. Here's the list of kits:
3/11/07: (8/06/07) Basic Fake Kit: Now you don't have to use 1,000 kits to make just one fake! Unfortunatly, you can't make fakes as detailed with this one mellow.gif.
2/27/07: (6/23/07) Map/Minimap Kit- All you need to make great map/minimap fakes, from objects to player icons to even a section on gradient shading for the ground!
2/27/07: (8/06/07) Bank Account/Inventory Kit- Now you can learn just how to paste items into an inventory/bank account in just the right place!
2/27/07: (8/06/07) Bank Pin Kit- I don't know, I was just bored!
0/0/00: Skill Kit- Simply change your levels, or mayby even make new skills, the choice is yours!
0/0/00: Chat Kit- No more asking other people to talk for your screenshot fakes!
0/0/00: Friends/Ignore Lists and Music List Kits- I think the title's pretty self- explanatory, don't you?
0/0/00: Attack Modes/Equip Screen Kit- Now you can equip any item without even owning it! (you will look weird with a pizza for a shield, though)
0/0/00: Quest Fake Kit- That's right, you can make your own quests!
0/0/00: Screen Fake Kit- When I'm done, it'll be full of npcs, people, objects, and other stuff to make entirely new places in RuneScape!!! Yup, it my take quite a while, so expect to see the groups of objects to come seperately.
3/1/07: (8/06/07) Window Kit- Just for making new windows in RuneScape. If you don't know what I mean, an example of a window would be the bank account screen.
5/27/07: (6/23/07) N.P.C. Chat Kit- Now you can make npcs say anything (even if it's against their will evil.gif ).
>>»5/28/07: Lumbridge N.P.C. Collection- The many faces of Lumbridge.
>>»5/28/07: "Common" N.P.C. Collection- N.P.C.s that aren't found in a specific town.
3/1/07: (8/06/07) Equipment Stats Kit: If you want to show the effects of any armour/weapon, use this kit!
3/3/07: (8/06/07) Awards Kit: Just a sample of the things I use to make awards.
0/0/00: Shop Kit: Now you can make any shop sell anything!
0/0/00: Trade Kit: Ever wanted someone to give you a rune scimmy for a cabbage? This kit won't make that happen, but you could tell people it did!
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Here are some useful links:
Beret's Fake Guides: These kits can help you learn how to fake. It's reccomended that you veiw these guides before you try making fakes. If you do not understand how to use a kit, and it has no instructions, checking out Beret's guides should help you.
Realistic Map Faking Guide: I made this guide. You should check it out if you want to make a map/minimap fake. It will provide many helpful techniques to shade map fakes so they look like real RuneScape maps.
-Kev The Kiwi-'s Group Fake Kit: A fake kit made by several people, including (obviously) -Kev The Kiwi-. You should especially look at it if you need something my kits don't have.
Mooncatcher's Fakes Guide: Useful if you want to make Skill Fakes or Monster Fakes.
That RuneScape Site: Not exactly useful for faking, but I'll put it on this list anyways. This is where I upload most of my Fake Kits, because Imageshack has a slow bandwidth. Click here? for the forums, I'm Mariomaniac on these forums too, the one difference is that I'm the Cheif Graphics Designer!
Party Pete's People: (Also not exactly useful for faking) finally, an RS clan that isn't all about PKing! In this clan, there are no skill requirements, and you don't have to be P2P, you just have to be able to have fun! Register at the forums, and you're already a member!
Graphic Haven Good at graphics and computer art? Then join this forum! Note: my name's WolfieMario here.
Omega Faking Group Sal's Realm's longest-running faking group, of which I am currently the Cheif Item Maker of.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Note: These aren't the only kits I may create, these are just the ones I'm most likely to create.

Basic Fake Kit:
Instructions:
Chat:
1) Place text. The red lines in the chat section of the kit are for placing letters between, in order to keep them lined up. In the split-chat section, the shadow of the lettering counts as part of the letter. The cyan lines are to indicate how low the lowest part of a letter may drop if it is one of the following: g j p q y. Note: it is reccomended that you type the text in a blank area, and then copy+paste it in place.
2) Once letters have been placed, simply copy the beige stuff in the box next to my logo (By: Mariomaniac), and paste it so it overlaps exactly with the red and cyan guidelines in the chatbox. To get rid of the guidelines in the split-chat section, first fill the cyan outline with red, and then fill the red with white. All of the guidelines should be gone at this point.
3) Change the scrollbar if neccesary.
Inventory:
1) Place all inventory items in the brown boxes within the box to the left of the example. Be sure to center them, and if an item is stacked, place the yellow number directly over the top-left brown corner. Some items may be larger than the boxes, just center them over it as evenly as you can.
2) Once done placing items, copy all of the contents of the large box containing brown boxes and items. Paste this directly over the red guideboxes in the invetory, and make sure that no red pixels are visible.
Overhead Chat:
1) Select a color from the "Colors" template, and use the RS font set to bold, and type the desired chat.
2) Change to the black font color, and retype what you just typed. It must match exactly.
3) Move the colored text over the black text so that the black text is giving the colored text a "1-pixel down, 1-pixel right" shadow.
Minimap:
1) Design the landscape (ground, water/lava, cliffs, etc.).
2) Add Buildings (if neccesary).
3) Add minimap icons.
4) Add people (Don't worry about the white dot in the center, it's already there).
OR you could just use an existing minimap.
Compass: Simply select a compass from next to the minimap designer, copy it, and paste it on the compass hole in the screen. Make sure there are no stray white pixels.
Damage Counters:
1) Copy+paste numbers onto a blank counter. The second red one is for numbers 50+.
2) Copy+paste the damage counter over a person.
OR you could simply use one of the pre-designed ones.

Update 3/18/07: I fixed the non-seperated friend chat thing's color, added shadow to the seperated friend chat thing, and added attack markers.
Update 3/27/07: I fixed the one in the attack splats section, added scrollbars, put a white player dot in the minimap section, got the new minimap border, and got the updated top bar (it now has the search thing).
Update 4/02/07: I added the new things from the minimap kit, and 2 more icons, plus I put everything in boxes, and made the compasses eisier to select.
Update 4/02/07: I updated the minimap section, added a section for selecting font colors, and replaced the blue background with white due to too many complaints.
Update 5/28/07: OMG, I just realized that the user interface was blank! Sorry!
Update 6/23/07: Updated the General Store icon.
Update 6/26/07: Sorry, I made a MAJOR mistake with the placement of the lines in the Chat section of the kit ohmy.gif ! Thanks, Beret, for pointing that out! Don't worry, it's fixed now. Also, I fixed the example to match the fixed chat section of the kit, and fixed the color selection pallete (chat no longer has 1-pixel shadow, look at the example).
Update 7/09/07: Updated scrollbar (RuneScape uses the 3-D one now).
Major Update 8/06/07: Added HP counters, fixed damage markers (had white spots), added skull and prayers, updated the graphics and chat, extended the lines on the item grid, and made a better example.

Map/minimap Kit:
Instructions:
Minimaps:
1) Design the landscape (ground, water/lava, cliffs, etc.). Reccomendation: use the Gradient Transitions!
2) Add Buildings (if neccesary).
3) Add minimap icons.
4) Add people (Don't worry about the white dot in the center, it's already there).
Maps:
1) Design the landscape (ground, water/lava, cliffs, etc.). Reccomendation: use the Gradient Transitions!
2) Add Buildings (if neccesary).
3) Add minimap icons.
4) Add people

Note: This kit has been uploaded on Jess's (JJohnston's) Forums at That RuneScape Site, due to the fact that Imageshack's bandwidth is slow.

Update 3/10/07: I put two blue dots before, I wasn't sure what color it's supposed to be.
Update 3/11/07: Larger font size! Also added minimap border from user interface and got rid of cyan background.
Update 3/17/07: I got a volcano pic (I found out they existed after I went to the wildy on my noob account)
Update 3/17/07: I got rid of the extra plants in the "Pickable Plants" section because in RS they're never equally arranged in groups of 4.
Update 3/27/07: I know, it's my billionth update for this kit. I got the new minimap border and put the player indicator dot in the right place.
Major Update 4/01/07: Yay! I've finnaly made more than one change in a update for this kit!
Anyways, the updates are: at least 10 more roads, 2 more liquids, 10 more floors, 2 more tile floors, 6 cliffs, 1 dock, 1 coast, 3 lands, 1 more cuttable tree, 2 more plants, and 10 more others. Yep, I spent pretty much a whole day searching the WHOLE RuneScape world map for things I've missed. By the way, can someone tell me what those weird arrow things in the "Other" section? I keep finding them in members-only places.
Major Update 4/01/07: I got the Holiday Event icon. I also made an easier method for gradient shading! Click HERE to view the guide!
Major Update 4/04/07: Great, now there's at least 9 different versions of this kit on ImageShack. I created a new section called "Dungeon" after searching through sal's realm for all the dungeon maps. I also got 3 new tile floors, about 3 new floors, a new dock, a new liquid, some new lands and roads, 2 new doors, 2 new ladders, 2 new cuttable trees, and some new rocks. I even got a bunch of new gradient transitions, and aligned all of the transitions at points where they share the same color. And to top it all off, I replaced the blue background with white due to too many complaints.
Update 5/12/07: I added the icons for Woodcutting Stump and Achievement Start, and I added Farming patch and moved the Gnome Glider to "others".
Update 6/23/07: Updated the General Store icon.

Bank Account/Inventory Kit:
Note: To place items: First place items on brown grid (make sure you center them), then copy the brown grids over the red ones.
To make stacked items: Place desired item on grid (if it has a green line, move the line outside the top-left corner of a square (see first image)), then place numbers on it (align the numbers so they overlap the top-left corner (as in the second image), and space them 1 pixel apart (except for ones, which are 0 pixels apart)), and finally, if it has a green line, fill the line in white.
To make bank notes: Get an item, shrink it to fit in the note, and fix up the black outline if neccesary.

Update 3/11/07: Larger font, no more cyan, easier to select the fill in grid (used to replace red grid).
Major Update 5/27/07: I did some major reorganizing, made the directions more clear, made some scrollbars easier to select, made a section on making bank notes and stacked items, and I got rid of blue.
Update 8/06/07: Fixed numbers for stacked items, extended the lines of the item grids, and pwned joo updated the chat and interface.

Bank pin Kit:

Update 3/11/07: No more cyan, fixed the little problem at the minimap's border.
Update 3/11/07: I finally fixed "Finally".
Update 4/06/07: Got rid of blue background due to too many complaints, but now it may be hard to read... Oh well, it's not like anyone ever uses this kit! happy.gif
Update 5/28/07: I just realized that the user interface was blank! Like I said, nobody ever uses this kit!
Update 8/06/07: Jajex graphical update. End of story.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Window Kit:

Update 3/11/07: No more cyan. Fixed spelling error (used to be "Backcgrounds", not "Backgrounds").
Major Update 4/04/07: 4 new "x" buttons, 14 more option buttons, 6 new backgrounds, and 9 mini-kits for making custom scrollbars of all colors, plus no more blue background!
Update 4/16/07: I combined the side borders to make it easier.
Major Update 4/04/07: many new borders, better arrangement, fixed colors, fixed the backgrounds (they are now seamless), new buttons, easier to understand credit demand, and updated the examples and some buttons.

N.P.C. Chat Kit:
Note: Now that I have permission from Den 45, I can post the NPC letters and numbers (Den 45 got these), so the kit is complete. Click here to view Den 45's kit.

Update 6/23/07: I finnaly got permission from Den 45 to post the font portion of the kit, so the kit is complete now.
Lumbridge N.P.C. Collection:
Note: This collection has been uploaded on Jess's (JJohnston's) Forums at That RuneScape Site, due to the fact that Imageshack's bandwidth is slow.

"Common" N.P.C. Collection:
Note: This collection has been uploaded on Jess's (JJohnston's) Forums at That RuneScape Site, due to the fact that Imageshack's bandwidth is slow.

Equipment Stats Kit:

Update 3/11/07: No more cyan.
Update 3/24/07: Fixed the Equipment spaces (now they're blank). Also added some noob armor.
Update 4/02/07: Added Dragon items and Range/Mage items.
Update 4/06/07: Became evil evil.gif. I also got rid of blue background due to too many complaints.
Update 8/06/07: Added Rune, Third Age Armor, Granite, Tzhaar, and "Other" aromors and weapons. Got rid of the red box for "Character", and updated the graphics.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Awards Kit:
Note: Give credit if used!

Update 3/11/07: Easier to select the scroll and large ribbons. More large ribbons and updated scroll. Once again, I killed poor cyan devil.gif.
Update 4/06/07: Added "Fake Award", "Animation Award", and "Hurrah!" for titles, plus I got rid of the background.
Update 8/06/07: Put the credit in a better place (now no longer gets covered by large ribbon).

It's absolutely great even when it's not finished!!!
How long time have you spent doing this??? It's just the best thing I've ever seen!

And I guess that many people will say that the text is too small, But I believe that your thought was that you zoomed in while working on small things like that, right?

Can I rate it? 20/10 biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Don't worry about the small text because when you work with this you usually zoom in the picture pretty much.

Umm, why is it such a big deal? You get the point!
By the way, thanks for ur rating, Rednick happy.gif. It took roughly 2½ days to make all 3 (I did 2 during break, then one on a school day).
And yes, people, the idea is to zoom in, as it says under the first kit (Note: If you don't want to lose yor eyesight...), and I had to go with a small font to fit that there (I didn't want a HUGE file)

What do you mean by detail? There is no detail what-so-ever, It's not a guide, it's a kit. If you ask me, all you're dsoing is saying the first thing that pops into your head so you can get your post count up...

And the KIT is too compact. Try spacing out the text and different sections...

Wait, if we use your kit, do we need to give credit?

Well, you could if you want. I'll put a note on any kit that you must give credit (usually if I made something special that doesn't exist in RuneScape, such as the alternately colored borders in the Window Kit)

I know, I haven't been on for a while. I got drowned under a pile of school projects. Now that the lifeguards rescued me, I can continue with the kits, but first I'd like my fans to vote for which kits I should do first. Fill out a vote sheet like so, and do not vote for the "Basic screenshot fake kit", I will make this one before any votes:
------------------------
#1
Vote: " (Name of kit) "
------------------------
In the "#" area, fill in which voter you are, as there may be no more than 15 voters. No voter may vote twice, please edit your previous vote. You may vote for more than one kit, but indicate which kit you are more in favor of. After the 15th vote, no more votes will be counted. Please do not post questions or other stuff until after the 15th vote, vote and add the question to the end of the vote. Let the voting begin!

They're pretty good smile.gif

Feedback:
1) Replace the cyan colour with somethign else - hurts my eyes and distracts it from the actual fake kit
2) The size of the text makes me think that you never intended anyone to read it.
3) WHat's with the bank pin kit? WHo makes bank pin fakes!?
4) IS the quest kit original? The quest scroll is of the old design - the new one is shaded inside and has another shape. I knwo that because I just completed sheep shearer on my new acc.

1) OK, I got rid of cyan so people don't go blind. I thought that color might stand out too much. Thanks for sayin' so.
2) I thought people might be able to read it if they zoom in, but it seems people still can't read it, so I made it bigger.
3) I don't know, lol. I was just bored when I made it.
4) Thanks, I didn't realize. But I think you mean "Award Kit"? I replaced it w/ the new one now (lol I did the same quest on my new account to get the pic).

Thanks for realizing these, mooncatcher. I fixed everything that was wrong (except for #3, because that would have meant deleting the kit).

And people, I've said it once, and I'll say it again:
Do not post comments until after 15 people have posted votes! If you want to say something, vote and then say it after your vote, in the same post. And also, once again, each person may vote once, but may vote for multiple kits, so long as it is within the same post and indicates which kit you are more in favor of. In fact, when you vote, please try to rank each kit. You cannot vote for any completed kits, or for the "Basic Fake Kit". Vote from the following only, please:
"Skill Kit"
"Chat Kit"
"Friends/Ignore Lists and Music List Kit"
"Attack Modes/ Equip Screen Kit"
"Quest Fake Kit"
"Screen Fake Kit"
"N.P.C. Chat Kit"
"Shop Kit"
"Trade Kit"
Here's some examples of votes:

By the way, 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10, good job thumbs.gif.

If you would like to change a vote, just edit your own. If there's already 15 votes, then too bad, you can't vote sad.gif. Whichever kit gets more votes will be made earlier. Now let the voting begin (again)!
