I don't think so. In order to use the special 3D you need not only a special monitor (the monitor actually has two different pictures layered upon each other, so when you wear the glasses it seems 3D) but you also need a Nvidia 3D compliant card, which if I remember your build correctly, you don't have.

Btw, how's Crysis running for you?

Funky. Well, if you want to do the 3D stuff you'll need to change the card out to a more expensive Nvidia one. wink.gif

Plus, there's barely any games that actually support the 3D glasses. wink.gif

Maybe in five or ten years it will be better.

They said that any game will support the 3d glasses on their homepage and they have a whole list of a bunch of games that work with it like WOW and L4d

Whoa, that list has GREATLY increased since the time I looked at it. xd.gif

Still, the glasses are $100, then you need a new card $200 (maybe?) and a new monitor $300. Too much money tbh. slanty.gif

You need a 120hz refresh rate monitor

To get 3d to work you must also be able to pull off 120+fps in the game of your choice at all times.

Last i checked it didn't require a really good graphics card... i think they said something in the 8 series will do fine. Still, if you're switching from a good ATI card then you might consider something like a 280GTX, or if you're saving money then a 265.

Well, since it's a 12cell, it should last a good while longer than the 6cell.

Or im not sure I was assuming because it needed a monitor capable of doing 120 frame changes a second. But now that I think about it maybe not.

Since you can't tell a difference over 30fps, i doubt it. But the monitor needs to be capable of outputting two images at once, one with one filter and one with another (like the different colours in cheap 3D glasses) so that one will be picked up by one eye and one by the other.

I doubt this would work very well for me, or anybody else who wears glasses already tongue.gif
