Is there a method i could use to buff the scratches from a CD without going to a Professional?

Your local DvD rental, game or related store (I'm going to sound all American and say check out Wal-Mart, or similar) they normally some cheap things to do it with. (At least they do where I live pfft.gif)

This or something similar might work, but if there's a Gamestation near you then you might want to have them check it out, they should do it for free and it's a lot less hassle.

If the scratches aren't too bad, but cause it to freeze up sometimes (I guess depending on what kind of disk), you can (on a Mac) insert the disk and make a .iso with the disk utility and then burn the .iso to a new disk.

If you're using Windows, I recommend downloading imgburn (free software sticky) and make an image and then burn.

Toothpaste is abrasive.

I've heard car wax works. Use it the same way as the Lysol method.

well lysol didn't work. so i broke down and took it to the professionals (dun dun dun!) it's good as new now. this topic can be closed
