Chapter 1: Rune Risen The wizard was late. It was nightfall in Castle War's and raining outside. Small games were being played inside, nothing serious. Just a couple of mid leveled warriors fighting. Zanzar was very mad. He was instructed to wait on the observation deck over looking the game while waiting for him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw his contact suddenly appear in the middle of the lobby. He was clearly taking his time. Zanzar was annoyed. Anymore waiting in the rain and his joint's would be so rusty he wouldn't be able to lift a bronze dagger. The wizard appeared suddenly at his side. His blood red robes and white hair shone in the moonlight. "Have you gotten my runes and staff"? "Yes, but it wasn't easy,"Zanzar explained" You didn't tell me the Monks hired a warrior to guard the weapon." "I'm sure he wasn't that much trouble, considering your.....ah, unique abilities." "They don't call me the judge for nothing," he said quietly. The rain poured in as the moonlight shone even brighter. A warrior with a whip owned a terrified newcomer to castle wars. "The staff and runes", the wizard murmured as he witnessed a ranger die at the hands of a mage. "Sure", Zanzar shrugged “But first, my barrows set, and the sharks". "Of....course” he hissed" Here's your payment". He pulled three runes from his robes and his staff out. Before Zanzar knew what was happening he was dead, lungs sucked dry, body pummeled from a wind wave. The wizard switched to ancient magick's and activated some teleportation runes. He quickly put them into Zanzar's dead hands. Zanzar disappeared in a purple haze of cubes to rest at the demonic ruins in deep wilderness. His body would be burnt by the greater demons breath. Others would just think he'd be some unlucky soul killed by another mage...... Chapter 2 Staff of Judgment Royaveh was a happy adventurer. He had just gotten his whip after a long bit of fishing and was only a while away before he could go on his most legendary adventure. He was in Varrock arguing with Bareak about the price of wolf fur when his life would change forever. "Are you kidding me!" he raged" I stole so many wolf furs from Ardougne, and the runes to teleport here aren't cheap." "Tough", the hairy man said. I still have to feed my children." As the arguing continued a sudden burst of light came from the palace. Everyone in the square fell silent as the echo of the blast faded into the day. King Roald was standing in the palace doorway. When a guard approached him he fell dead from the blast of magic in the back. Standing there behind him was the wizard from castle wars. Royaveh noticed him from the late game of castle wars to test out his whip. He was talking to a dark adventurer in the stands when they suddenly disappeared. He dropped his furs and ran to the Zamorak scum. He was clothed in the same Zamorak robes and clutching the same book. His white hair was covered by a dark red hood. The only thing different thing about him was his staff. It was now white, with gold and black trim with a glowing red orb and gold tendril's clutching the orb in place. He now had gold strange, tribe like symbols on his robes. Captain Rovin ran down to the fallen king. "Just in case you’re going to ask, the Zamorak follower said,” I killed him. And it felt so liberating! How does it feel to have the man you have devoted your life to dead? You really should have better security Captain, or I might kill the next poor soul to retain the post of King." The Captain was in shock at the oily voice coming out of this man's tongue. Then he screamed with rage," I shall avenge my king even if I have to sacrifice my own life to drag your's to the depth's of Zamorak's Pit's"! The Zamorakian's eyes flashed with amusement. "Then die with the rest of your pathetic group of men!" Captain Rovin quickly ordered his men to attack. He pulled his sword and requested Reldo to find a spell that to fell this beast of a mage. He scurried into the library as the battle raged. The mage did not flinch. He raised his staff and uttered one word. The blast that followed snaked through the guards heart's in a torrent of white and green light. As each of the guards fell dead in the middle of the square, Captain Rovin found Royaveh watching the fight. "You, round up all the warrior's and mages at the banks and get them here, I don't want this son of a dagganoth to walk out of this town alive!" He ran to both banks, rounding up as many people he could. He found 6 experienced warriors, each wearing one of the six brother’s legendary suits of armor, 4 ancient magicks and one lone ranger. His name was Kaoyan. On his brow, he had a dashing robin hood hat and on his feet were boots of the same caliber. He had on a strange looking ring Rovayeh recognized as an archer's ring from the dagganoth kings. He wielded black dragon hide and the most beautiful bow he'd ever seen. It was like looking into a glass replicate of a normal bow, emanating power he couldn't understand. As the band of fighter's got there, Captain Rovin was forced back into the statue in the fountain, cleaving it in half, landing face up of the clear water's of the fountain, unconscious. His body splashed water on the scared- to-death Reldo, holding a book in one hand, and a very concerned mage in the other. "I need some time to cast the spell to stop him!" the mage cried. "Were on it!" said a warrior in Dharok's armor. Four ancient mage's cast spells of ancient ice on the calm wizard standing in the water of the fountain. Each did huge amounts of damage and froze not only the wizard, but the fountain's water as well. The Zamorakian looked defeated, but before they could rejoice, a red glow came from his staff breaking the ice and carrying out through the mages robes. Each mage was killed instantly and the ways of Guthix transported them to Lumbridge, very confused and scared. The ritual needed more time. The barrows fighter's started to unleash pure ownage all over the Zamorakian's butt. As the last hit was done and the blood ran hand in hand with the wizard's robes. He shouted a spell and took out three runes with stars on them and healed himself through some magic, Royaveh had never seen before. Must be some new star magic he thought, as he saw the wizard be weakened slightly. "Enough!!” he raged. He raised his staff and 3 runes as flames shot towards the warrior's feet. They were weakened slightly, just enough for the Zamorakian to switch to ancient magicks, an art he learned after a task for Azzandra. He froze them all, while creating more damage for the brave warrior's. Again and again he cast this spell until all was quiet, the warrior's dead. Although some in the square were too scared to move, greedy people ran up to the dead and looted their bodies for their armor as the sets were ridiculously priced in Falador park by insane merchants. The Zamorkian stood tall. "Who among you foolish people will stop me from leaving the city? I have already conquered your silly heroes!" Royaveh stood from his spot near the ever frustrated mage trying to complete the ritual. "I will". Kaoyan rose too, "As will I". A nearby merchant named Rasolo, who had traveled for many miles to see the hub of his trade exclaimed," And I will aid them!" "How touching, the wizard murmured. Well now after the transaction I have made yesterday, I now have the most feared weapon ever seen today. Stolen many an age ago by Zamorak himself, handed down and imbued with the powers of some of the most fearsome gods in all of Gielnor, with Zamorak's power, Saradomin's knowledge, Guthix's hand over nature, Zaros's spells, the elf god's design, and finally the... the soul of Armadyll!!" Reldo stopped in mid sentence, right in the middle of the ritual. "You, you don’t actually mean!" The Zamorakian smiled, "Oh but Reldo knows what this staff is. Such a smart librarian! Mutated countlessly by the gods over the ages, I give you... the Staff of Armadyll!!" Chapter 3 Finish this Fight! Reldo knew that if anyone wielded that staff, no one would be able to touch this evil excuse for a man. "Stop him!” Reldo shouted,” Either stop him or everyone dies!" Royaveh threw everything he had at him. Most people don't know Royaveh's secret to his fame. While hunting evil bandit's in the wilderness, he can outrun and block any attack that anyone throw's at him. His advantage started when he was a little boy. His father was a pirate in Brimhaven. He knew by training his son’s agility, he could become a mighty warrior. On night after a long day of training agility his father called him into his room. "Son, the pirates who run the agility arena say you have now reached your full potential. You cannot train anymore, or you muscles will burst. You are... a master." The young boy continued training with his father with a sword and went to many pirate missions’ with him. It was a dream come true. Soon he would become a full pirate, since he led the attack on Catherby's bank and fisher's. Then it ended so fast. At an attack on Ardougne and his first raid as a crew member, he stormed the bank, sword at his side and his dad at his other. They were on top of the world. A King's archer came in and killed the first pirate he saw. His dad's blood on his face, he threw his sword through the ranger's head, and ran with his dead body to bury him near the Lady of the Lake vowing never again to pirate and lead a life of adventuring. All of this flashed before Rovayeh's eyes as he danced around the wizard's body, slashing and hitting the wizard’s robes as his spells tried to hit the agile youth's armor, but to no avail. Kaoyan's arrow's flashed out of thin air and pierced the wizard's robes. Rasolo brought out a dusty set of Guthixian armor, still wearing his black hat, and flew out his hand a legendary crystal sword, sung by elves on his travels, green swirls swirling down the length of the blade. He struck the wizard down with an awesome blow to the waist. Rovayeh wrapped his whip around the evil wizard's head and pulled with all his strength. The wizard could not do anything as his last breathes of life came. He raised his staff to heal himself, but the ritual was finally complete. Reldo and the magician cried the last word and a beam of white hot light sizzle from the book and tore through the mage's robes, leaving a huge hole through his chest. "You may have killed me,” the dying Zamorkian said to the heroes with his last dying breath, "but you will never have the staff!!" He pulled out some runes and teleported the staff away in a black and red haze. Chapter 4 The Quest Begin's "What in the name of Saradomin was that", Royaveh exclaimed. Rasolo looked at Rovayeh with a look of superiority and knowledge. His sword slowly growing back into a green and crystal ring, as he put his armor back into his magical pack he carries for his merchanting needs. "That, he said calmy,"was a very devout member of the Black Seal of Zamorak. He was probably a grand master for all we know." "Ah, so the stories are true! There still is a Guthixian warrior who is guarding ardougne, said Reldo in amazement.” What bring's you to Varrock?" Rasolo turned fixing his black hat and rumpled clothes. "I was sent by the Void Knight's to investigate reports of a god weapon stolen by one of the Black Seal. Apparently they were true." Kaoyan was moved by this. "I never expected an adventurer wield a crystal sword. That is the elves top award for bravery and service to their god." Reldo was thoroughly annoyed now. "Enough of this talk," exclaimed Reldo, drawing surprised looks from the adventurer's faces. "The staff is gone and we don't know where it is. This is serious, if another one of the Black Seal get's the staff it could mean the destruction of the world." At this Kaoyan laughed. "Please, if we can take out one member so easily then we can take on another one no matter how tough they are." At this, Reldo rolled his eyes. "You ranger's and your confidence. One minute you’re whining about being one of the weakest path's to take for a fighter, the next you’re full of yourself as soon as you kill someone important." "Well we need to go and find the staff if it's that much of a danger, Rovayeh said, And kill whoever's in the way." "It won't be easy, the Black Seal will send their best after us, considering what happened to their Grand Master, Rasolo frowned. The medic tending to Captain Rovin suddenly turned and announced he was coming to. Captain Rovin awoke from the bloodstained robes he was clothed in. "Where is HE?!?!?!, he screamed with rage. Where is the man who killed my King?" As the group quelled the screaming captain down Kaoyon calmly announced, "Relax, we killed that scum in no time flat there's nothing to worry about." The Captain instantly relaxed. "Then my king is at peace, "he breathed. Reldo turned to the adventurer's. "You must go to my cousin at the Void knights’ outpost. He knows a spell to track God weapons. Here take my cart." He motioned to the old rickety cart in the stables of the Castle. "Take the wizard's dead body and my cousin will find the missing staff. Once you find it destroy it or try to go to the kingdom of the god's and return it to Armadyll." "Don't worry, Rasolo said, we will not fail." "We'll bring back the Black Seal's leader's head as a token for you, "Kaoyan raved. As they rode off Reldo wondered if they would complete their task. Chapter 5: Barmaids and Beer As day fell on the way to the Void Knight's outpost the group stopped on their way and bought a room at the Rising Sun in Falador. The pub was crowded and noisy from the villager's drunken yells. The Rising Sun was always a place for a mixed group. It was the only bar around that sold exotic ales like the ever popular wizard's mind bomb's and dwarven stout's. It was a busy night at the pub. A group of dwarf's were drunk off their pick in one corner while a group of druid's were looking frightened sipping asgarnian ale quietly in the other. "Ugghghh,"shouted Kaeyan. "Why couldn't be bunk in the white knight's castle instead of this hovel?" A dwarf was thrown into a barmaid across the room by his friend's, convinced that it been a while since he had a relationship and it's high time he met other species of woman. As the maid slapped the dwarf in the face Rasolo took a modest drink from his mind bomb and calmly replied,” Because it would attract too much attention, due to the fact every Zamorakian would love to zap us and alert the Black Seal were here. "Still....., Kaeyan grumbled, we could've done better". "We'll I like it here," Rovayeh said enthusiastically, drawing curious looks from his friends.” Reminds me of home." "What a pleasant lifestyle you must've grown up in, Rasolo sniffled; tell me where you raised, in the back of a bar?" Rovayeh got up with a start. "Brimhaven," he growled and left the table to go to bed. Chapter 6: Black Seal's Order Deep in Canafis, past the towns and vampires, there is a headquarters’ of Zamorak. Adventurer's go by it every day, but never seem to find it. In the Barrows crypts, the Black Seal meet's once every full moon to discuss how to pull Lord Zamorak into power once again, and destroy the other gods. Through the chest in the center, is the way to the meeting room. Zadius was excited. Rumors from the upper levels traveled to him. One of the Black Seal has a god weapon! Soon Zamorak will rule all! "Order!!! Colten screeched," We shall have order!" The black banquet hall was filled with followers of Zamorak, demons and humans, ghosts and mage's were packed into the meeting room. Colten stood at the podium, red eyes and black hair streaming behind him in his armor, devoted to Zamorak. "The God weapon was acquired by our grand master, and the assassination was carried out, but our grand master is dead, and the god weapon, teleported to an unknown location." Murmur’s and outrage swept throughout the crowd. Who could kill a grand master equipped with a god weapon? "Fortunately, "Colten plowed on,” We have word that a group of three adventurers’ have located someone who can perform a spell to locate our prize." Our remaining grand master's have decided to....to form an alliance with a group of Zaros follower's. The hall stood still. Zaros followers? The group intended to destroy Zamorak himself? Zadius could not speak. "The leader of this mission will be headed by .... Chapter 7: To the Outpost:!! Night fell and gave in to a new day in Asgarnia. The group passed many shops on their way out. They pulled into Port Sarim with their cart, Rovayeh still disgruntled by the comments made by Rasolo last night. "Ah finally we're at the dock's," Kaeyon yawned. "The cart isn't exactly the Rising Sun if you ask me." Rasolo laughed at this. "You slept more than any of us in the inn and still you insist on taking a nap before we're even here." Kaeyan shifted around his bow and boot's. "I was tired, and I didn't exactly go straight to sleep last night. I....had a nice chat with the barmaid at the inn." Rovayeh and Rasolo locked eyes at this comment. "Wow there's a kid right there, Kaeyon. Maybe you'd like to broadcast it a little louder; the ghosts in Port Phasmaty's may not have heard Gnomeball's not the only game you score at." They reached the Boat when a Drunken Dwarf pooped out of no where. "Oi, gimme a kiss Rovayeh," he hiccuped, his breath smelling like a yak. They threw the dead wizard's body in a crate, ignoring the little drunken pest. "I know the squire, "Rasolo said, "I'll go talk to him about this package." "OI, I hate you Rovayeh!," the dwarf shouted. The dwarf started smashing his empty glass against Rovayeh, drawing looks from inside the shops. "UUUGGGG," Kaeyon screamed. "Shove him in the cart and roll it down the hill into the water.”Agreed," said Rovayeh, dealing with the dwarf. After the deed was done Kaeyon turned to Rovayeh. "Those random events are getting really annoying." "Yeah, and what’s with the evil chicken?" They went to the boat ignoring all the stares coming from the sailors on the dock. "Must be some touched in the head wizard got drunk one night." "Probably, "Kaeyon shrugged. Chapter 7: Rovanion’s Greeting's and Zaros Fleeting: The group tread off the dock as other adventurer's poured off the boat. "What a horrible boat ride!,"Kaeyon gasped.” Why cant they teleport people here the mages do!" Rasolo hauled the crate off the boat. "Quit whining about it!" he grumbled. Or that Void Knight will think your a little fairy girl." Kaeyon immediately straightened up at the prospect of a lady to impress. "That's better," Rasolo laughed. Though it may interest you that Void Knights only are allowed to have a relationship when the world needs balance to the population." While Kaeyan straightened his bow and hat a Void Knight walked out of one of the shops. He was dressed in Guthixian god armor, only the traditions symbols were absent from his chest. Replacing it was a rather...wild look. Green snaked across his chest, getting thinner as it reached the shoulders. A staff of pure crystal hung from his back while an almond colored bow crossed it. At his waist he had a long thing sword, with a single emerald encrusted into the handle. Two smaller crystals flanked it, one a ruby, the other a sapphire. He had crackling blue eyes, and short, spiky blonde hair. At the sight of him, Rasolo immediately bowed, urging his companions to do the same. "Bow!, "Rasolo urged,” Don’t you realize who this is?" "It's alright, Rasolo,"Rovanion said. Rovayeh was surprised at his voice. It was commanding, yet smooth and balanced. "Come into the shop, "Rovanion said. "We have work to do." The group followed him into the rune shop. Kaeyan was forced to drag the crate to the door. While he was heaving he had the strangest sensation he was being peered at by more than one group of people........ Up on the roof of the general store, one could see the entire outpost if he wanted to. On Xeil was just interested in one. He was sent by the Black Seal to capture one Guthixian mage. "Kill the rest," Colten ordered. At this On Xeil cast an icy look. "Or,"Colten gulped,” Do as you please with them!" On Xeil smiled at the memory. It felt good to put a Zamorakian fool in his place. Small and scared. Zadius felt the same way at the moment. He and 4 other Black Seal members had been ordered to care for On Xeil and his partner Neikraz. Both were brutes. Neikraz was massive and enjoyed nothing more than swinging his twin hammers at anything his partner tells him. He acquired Torag’s armor when traveling to the meeting room. Rumor has it he picked up the ghost and smashed him over into the next crypt. Although the plate body, legs and modified hammer's work, he abandoned the helm when he sat on it in the meeting room. As a token of goodwill, The black's seals top member's enchanted the armor to protect him against anything. His beaten grayish face was missing an eye, which he covered with an eye patch. He wore his dark brown hair in a small pony tail behind his head. People at the meeting called him "The Ogre Juggernaut." That was before he smashed one of their head's in. On Xeil, on the contrary, was small and inconspicuous. His black hair and smallish frame was covered by Ahrims's robes, complete with a purple trim to show his allegiance to his master. He held an ancient's staff and a book of Zaros, one of the only 4 in existence. His small goatee was the only thing that could be seen from inside the hood. The only thing about his to mark him as not your average adventurer was him eyes. Red and sparkling, his eyes told the deeds he has done, and how many people have crossed him and lived:0. Zadius watched his mouth break of into a smile at the sight of the adventurer's. "We have work to do,” he hissed. Chapter Eight: Saradominist Watching’s. Across the dock, three sets of eyes peered at the rune shop. One was wearing Full Saradomin God armor while the other two had on dark blue robes, emblazed with His Symbol. "Well,"? one mage said. "What do you see?" "Three adventurer’s,” he murmured." And The mage of Earth." The two looked at his with worried looks. "Then this just got very complicated, "one brooded. "We cannot hope to kidnap him." "We must,!” he said, looking concerned,” Or Our Lord cannot destroy Zamorak." Behind the counter, Rovanion pulled a nature rune from one of the desk drawers and inserted it in an indentation in the wall. A trapdoor opened at their feet and Rovanion led them into the room. The room was filled with magical equipment, battle staves of Guthix, and spell book upon spell books. Lay him down here, Rovanion commanded. Kaeyon looked at everyone, seeing their faces, he quickly remembered he had the dead magician. He opened the crate and laid the now gray Zamorkian onto a table. Rovanion pulled out a red crystal and began muttering spells while waving the pendant across the body. This went on for 5 minutes until he proclaimed,” He’s not dead yet." They all looked up. "You can't be serious,"Kaeyon stammered, "We shot him, cleaved him in half, choked him, and blew him away with a blast of light capable of killing the Kalphite Queen." Rovanion ignored this statement. "He's dead in the body, but not dead in the head yet. Most high leveled people in the order of the Black Seal perform a spell so there brains could magically be transferred into an object or another person. This is great news!" Rovayeh stared for a moment. "How is this great news’s?!?!" "We can't transfer him to a body or an object, because he still won't tell us where he teleported it to." Rovanion shook his head. "I have already performed the necessary spells to transfer him into a pendant and already binded him with an obedience curse." Here." He shown a small silver pendant. "This will guide you on your journey. To make sure he doesn't get out of control, perhaps I should go. Rovayeh took the pendant and wore it around his neck. "I still need more time to get his robes off. I will purify them and fix them for you. They will offer great protection. Rovayeh shrugged. "Okay" ,he murmured. Rovianion noticed his discomfort. "Why not play a game of Pest Control?" , he offered. "It'll relax you greatly and maybe you'll learn a thing or two about our Knight!" Kaeyan and Rovayeh boarded the lander. Rasolo decided to stay behind helping with the spell. "There boarding the lander for a game of Pest Control Sir, "Zadius yelped. He had been ordered to keep a look out for the adventures leaving. On Xeil woke from his meditation. "Ah, he said. "Well let's give them a game to remember. Neikraz, go down to the rune store after we leave and say hello to the Guthixian Mage and his friend. Neikraz grinned. "Aye sir, he croaked. "There boarding the lander for a game of Pest Control, "The Saradominist said. The other one brooded . "Well there perhaps we can convince them to help us, he smiled. Chapter 9:Spinners and Guthix As they boarded the lander, another game appeared out on the dock. Moans and angry adventures filled the air, as they're injuries were magically knitted. "We lost!" All noobs get out of the boat, your taking up space!" As the lander teleported to a far-off island, the adventures moans died down as they ran off to kill portals and defend knights. Rovayeh ran off to the western portal while Kaeyon went up to a tower to range there. As the portal was at half health everything suddenly stopped. Spinners froze and Torchers balls of fire stood in mid air. Everyone except Rovayeh and Kaeyon stopped. Kaeyan ran up to Roveyah looking confused. Near the Void Knight, Kaeyan spotted something. He pointed it out to Rovayeh and stared. The man was dressed in Ahrim full, with an ancients staff and a Zaros prayer book. He was smiling at the adventure's. Kaeyon bristled. "What are you doing here and what have you done with the islands magic!" The magician smiled. "I," he announced," am On Xeil. Forgive me to introduce my other friend but he's too busy killing your's." You have something we want. The location of the staff of Armadyll." "Forgive me for stopping your game, but I need that necklace." Rovayeh drew his whip and shield. Kaeyan knocked an arrow. "You can't have it, yelled Rovayeh from the gate. "And tell the Black Seal and Zamorak as well as Zaros, to take the staff and shove it!" "Oh wait, he grinned, "They'll never find it." On Xeil drew his staff. "Fine then," he bristled, "Then die, and I will loot your corpses!" He flung his arms in the air as Kaeyon fired a crystal arrow. Rovayeh saw a flash of white filling his eyes......then darkness....... On the outpost, as the final steps were in preparation of were underway. As Rasolo passed a vial, a great thump could be heard upstairs followed by a softer thump and a sickening crunch. "What was that?, Rasolo inquired. Rovanion looked up from the now White and green robes. "Guthix only know's, "he breathed, finishing the last crystal plating on the under robes. Suddenly a huge mass of armor and flesh smashed through the floor boards. Neikraz straightened up. "I am Neikraz, he shouted, "You have defied Masters will! You die now!" Rasolo immediatly drew his armor up, while a crystal weapon began to grow. This time it was a crystal staff, identical to Rovanion's. He summoned a massive crystal orb and fired..... Rovayeh opened his eyes. He was not dead! Yet. Three Saradominists were pearched on the southern gate. One had a knife, identical to the one holding On Xeil's staff in place, buried into the ground. On Xeil was mad. "Filthy Saradominist's!," he shouted. From his back, he drew a long thin staff. On each end was a Dragon scimitar, each engraved with Zaros's symbol on the pommel. Rovayeh had never seen such a weapon! On Xeil smiled. "Like it ?, "he grinned. "Made by Chaos dwarves and poisoned by Zaros himself!" Deep purple poison was seeping down the scimitar's length. On Xeil pounced. He quickly jumped by the Saradominist's. One blocked by his sword, the other conjuring up a small white shield. On Xeil crounched low and swept near their legs. Kaeyan snapped out of it and quickly called up a fury of magical arrows. White bolts filled the air as they came crashing down on its victims. On Xeil was too quick. He dodged every arrow, except one, piercing him in the arm. As his yells of pain filled the air, Rovayeh lept, feeling invulnerable. He slashed and whipped, but his blows were blocked by On Xeil's battle staff. As one of the Saradominist shot him with a wave of blue light, he raged, "Enough!" "You wanted a game didn't you? Lets make it a game!" He muttered a a spell and the world sped up around them. Adventurers started fighting as Spinners hazed around them. Rovayeh started to think this would be like no game he'd ever played....... On the outpost, the battle raged with it's might. Neikraz had killed the rune store squire as well as a Void Knight. Rasolo was disgusted as he stepped over dead bodies while he fought. Only Zaros would employ such brute force. He quickly jumped up on the roof, as one of Neikraz's hammer's smashed the wall where he stood. The roof caved in on him and could support his weight. A moan escaped the tiles as he fell through the rubble. Neikraz grabbed a nearby adventurer and flung him at Rasolo. Rasolo rolled over and looked at Rovanion through the hole in the floor. "It is done yet, he moaned. Rovanion looked up. "I'll need a minute or so more!," he said,” Just hold him back till then, alright?" Rasolo couldn't answer as Neikraz picked up and threw him straight into the bank wall, punching a hole in the bank. He finally stopped when he hit the water. Soaking wet, Rasolo was mad. He conjured up all his strength, took out three runes, and let loose a water wave, powered by the crystal staff. Neikraz went flying into the fence and into the ocean. He stood up, growled and connected his hammers with a small chain. They began to glow a deep purple. He hurled them with all his might at Rasolo. They were too quick, even for the swift merchant. As the energy burnt him, he went flying into the air driven by the hammers like a Frisbee hitting a bug. When he finally came down, Rasolo was unable to breath in his dented armor. His crystal staff slowly grew back into his ring as the human juggernaut came forward. He picked up his hammer and was ready to end Rasolo's final days. In mid swing a blast of pure energy came from the shattered rune shop. It was Rovanion. He glowed pure green as vines came and binded Neikraz to the floor. Another blast coupled with a tree growing tall and hitting Neikraz made his blood flow. "Never, Rovanion breathed, "Make the son of Guthix mad." And with that the vines tightened, only to be met by a flash of purple, as Neikraz and his Zamorkakian footmen were gone. On Xeil was fuming. Mad at the fact that someone could match his speed and skill with a weapon. He was in a one on one duel with Rovayeh as the monster's poured from all portal's. Adventurers were no longer protected by the Void Knights magic. They started dropping like flies. The flow of monster's made it impossible for his friends and the Saradominist idiots to reach him. They were in a tower exchanging blows. On Xeil was impressed. He hadn't fought and found an enemy like this for 40 year's. For every blow he made, it would be met with Rovayeh's whip or short sword. Every time he twirled his staff, Rovayeh would jump and slash him. He fired spell after spell, none of them reaching his enemy. Until Rovayeh wrapped his whip around on of On xeil scimitar's and thrust it into the ceiling, going for the killing blow. On Xeil jumped up onto the roof of the hut on the platform and quickly pulled his staff out. Rovayeh jumped up and slashed with everything he had. On Xeil turned his sword to ash with a quick spell, then tapped the dragon weapons power's, hitting the whip so hard, it's chain's magical binding's shattered. As it looked like it would all end, one of the Saradominist ran up to the tower and revived the whip. "The necklace, he commanded," We must locate the staff and give it to Saradomin. Rovayeh looked. "But, the Staff belongs to Armadyll!,"He said looking confused,” Shouldn’t I return it to it's owner. "The necklace,” they both shouted. Rovayeh bristled. "Then your both my enemy!," he screamed. The duel continued, with one extra person in the mix. As all four portal died down, Kaeyan and the Saradominist's led a group of remaining adventurer's to nurse the Void Knight, and kill all remaining monsters. They looked up as the battle raged on. They each jumped along the gate and it's towers totally letting go of all restraint. On Xeil blade flashed as is body merged as one with it. Rovayeh looked graceful as he danced around every opponent trying to get every hit in as possible. The Saradominist was firing spell's destroying the gates and tower's blocking and dodging everything as well. Kaeyan immediately let loose a hailstorm of arrow's as the Saradominst warrior's fired white knives and javelins at On Xeil. The fight continued as the adventurer's and the injured Void Knight took the lander off to the outpost. As the hailstorm of blades and spells died down, the fighters lay on the ground panting and muttering revival spells. On Xeil was fast but not fast enough. During the fight as he dodged a blast, Rovayeh spun his whip around one of his blades and thrust it into his ribcage. "You may have won this time," he gasped, picking up his ancients staff,” But you won't win again!" With that, he teleported in a purple haze. Rasolo and Rovanion suddenly popped up. "Where were you guy's, he inquired,” We waited for you at the dock but an adventurer told me you were involved in a duel." The Saradominist's turned. "Give us the necklace, it it our duty to empower Saradomin, Our Lord commands it!" Rovayeh looked at him. "It's not your's and it belongs to someone else, "he explained. They drew there swords and runes. "Then you are our enemy,” he said somberly and leapt forward. Rovayeh blacked out as the world changed around them.... Chapter 10:Zamorak's Crown Deep within the fiery pits of Guthix's kingdom, Lord Zamorak lives. His palace is among the finest in Gielinor. Gold, onyx, ivory, and human skin decorated the massive palace, encircled within a burning hot river of pure magma. Mages who sold they're souls for power guard the entrance, and deep within the stronghold, one Zamorakian has treachery brewing in his mind.... Rotalkon stirred. His mind wandered today. It was not doing good for his meditation. He was sitting in his study, lined with magic tree bookcases, engraved with gold. Teleportation portals to different cities leaned against the wall. The center piece of the room was a red and black orb. With it, Rotalkon could see the entire world. Pillows faced the evil globe, reflecting his mahogany desk. Rotalkon has not like Zamorakian followers. He was brutal, strong and crafty, well beyond other follower's, perhaps matching Zamorak himself. But there was a deep calm, rational in him that made him cold and calculating, rather than angry and short tempered. He had a strong chin, brown eyes, and black hair. He had a Zamorak book, filled with spells no one had heard of. His robes were armored with light weight magical plates that provided ultimate protection. His staff was legendary. Zamorak himself modeled it after his own. Two horns of onyx and gold curved out of the red orb. Countless engravings snaked its way through the staff. On his side a thin red sword hung at his waist with a dragon dagger at the other side, ready for assassination. Rotalkon's eyes flicked open. "Hmmm," he sighed. "Saradomin grows angry." He turned to his globe. His eyes followed the swirls as they parted and revealed Saradominists troops suddenly stirring, thieves being struck down in the street's, Zamorakian's being hunted, and lesser gods being captured. "War," he breathed.” Is coming....very soon. Gielinor stands on the brink of the abyss." "We have somehow angered Saradominists." He was worried. Reports over the day were horrible. Saradomin's followers mobilizing, Zamorakian's killed. His men were terrified. As was he for his men. Although he would never admit it, he would die for his men and there well being. And he would like nothing more to hide it. He would kill 5 of them to protect 500000000. After all, they would never have a leader like him. His rational was the best there was, bordering on the brink of being a Saradominist. He honestly didn't care if he had to kill 1 or 10,000 to keep Zamorak happy and him at his side. It was necessary for the plan. He looked into his orb to see Zamorak sitting on his throne of Saradominist symbols stained with the originals owners blood. He was smiling, totally relaxed. Rotalkon scowled. He did not have the right to lead such a vast army. He was hot headed and an idiot. Once he ordered an attack on a drunken dwarf for bothering him during a training session. Totally inept. Rotalkon looked at the solitary window behind his desk. A starving man was forced to fetch his dinner from the lake of lava. He burnt quite well "Perhaps I could use this war as an advantage, he thought aloud, "After all, both sides will have casualties." "Some bigger than others," he smiled. And I will lead these men to take that posers crown and title as a god, band together the creatures of evil and destroy Saradomin and then....Zaros!" Chapter 11: Visions, Courtesy of the Black Seal Rovayeh's eyes snapped open. He was standing in a small shack, next to a woman holding her newborn son. She had blue eyes and brown hair. Her arms were cradling him when a man stepped into the room. He had brown hair in a short crew cut. He had black Khazard armor on with a red sword strapped to his waist inscribed with Zamorak's symbol. A kite shield bearing the same engraving was strapped to his back. "Where is he,?" he said, looking confused. The woman eyed him. She smiled faintly. "He is here, she smiled, "And he looks just like you." She looked the man in the eyes with a worried look. "Zamorak will never know, we must keep him, he your son, she breathed, exasperated. The man looked at her. "I cannot take that chance," he bellowed, taking the now screaming baby in one arm, drawing his sword in the other. "No!," the woman screamed, but it was too late. He tried to plunge his sword into the newborns breast, but was stopped by a red glow, his sword shattered and his face burnt horribly. As Rovayeh watched the man writhing on the floor, the world changed around him once more. He was standing in the Barrows chest room. A Zamorak monk and a boy about 12 lowered themselves in the chest. Rovayeh followed to find himself in a large hall of the Black Seal. The group went into a small chamber filled with growing Zamorak disciples all practicing and reading. The boy was left there by the monk. He looked at his bed and drew out a scrying glass. The picture of the woman was there, smiling. The boy touched his face to it and hid it in his pack. The boy suddenly looked up straight at Rovayeh, the same eyes that gazed up at him while fighting at castle wars and Varrock..... Chapter 12: Explanations from a Demi god "Rovayeh, wake up,!", Kaeyan urged. A bucket of ice cold water splashed into his face. He spluttered and saw his group of friends standing around a blazing fire, Rasolo with a bucket in hand. Rovayeh looked up. They were standing in a forest, away from a large city. Lights to the southeast from a large city shimmered as well. "Where am I, "he wondered. Rasolo smiled and handed him a towel. "With friends of mine and Rovanions, "he smiled. Rovayeh changed and dried off. "Rovanion teleported us to the Grand Tree area after Manirious and his gang threatened us, " Kaeyan explained. "You passed out afterwards, it was really weird." Rovayeh looked at Rovanion, silent and staring into the fire. Kaeyan continued. "Apparently Neikraz and On Xeil were both hurt in our fights." "They should be healing for the next day or two." "That should give us enough time to find the stall and return it to Armadyl." Rovayeh looked up. "So the gods won't be mad," he said. "Right?" Rasolo looked at Rovanion, exchanging glances. "It won't work like that," he exclaimed. "Every god is now angry at us, namely you." "You took one of Zamorak's best men from him." "He had to resort to siding with his worst enemy." "That alone is spitting in his face." "Zaros is enraged at the fact that someone out there is better than his personal assistant and enforcer's." "Saradomin can't stand the fact that Zaros and Zamorak might get the staff and use it against him, not to mention that On Xeil killed Manirious's twin brother not long ago." "The group was originally named the Four Points of the Star, and now their down to three." "Armadyll wants his staff back and will destroy anyone in his way." "And, "Rovanion added," The lesser gods are taking up sides too." "Some want the staff destroyed, given to a god, or taken by themselves." "Marimbo wants the staff to finally bring intelligence to the monkeys, Tukamen wants his people to rule Gielinor, and Seren wants Guthix himself to have the staff to bring balance forever." "It's a whole new war shaping up." "The only way to stop this, Kaeyan realized,” Is to either destroy the staff, or give it back to Armadyll." Rovanion stood and picked up four sleeping bags. "Never the less, we need some sleep," Rovanion breathed. "If we do get the staff, I know a spell to transport us to the Kingdom of the Gods." He passed the bags around and settled the fire down. The group laid down in their beds and settled down for a good nights sleep. Chapter 13: Assault on the Grand Tree Part 1 The group marched into the grand tree, saluted by the gnomes as they passed. They all decided to wear full warriors outfit to the meeting with King Nardone. His magician's agreed to help Rovanion and Rovayeh locate the staff with the pendant. Rovayeh was strangely comfortable with the Zamorakian's robes, now turned Guthix, under his armor. A sweet flowery smell followed him. They approached the Grand Tree entrance. Gnomes were running about, gathering supplies, weapon's, and staffs. Terror birds ran through quickly, being armed for war. The entered the room and saw the King sitting on his throne. Rasolo, Rovayeh, and Kaeyan bowed. When Rovayeh looked up, he saw the king praying at Rovanion's feet! "My prince, "he stammered,” We have to go to war in the wilderness!" The group stared. The King got up and sat back on his throne. "All the gods are going to war, even the lesser ones." "The desert Pantheon has already formed a group of warriors, but Amascut rides with Zamorak." "We need your magician's to help us with Rovayeh's necklace," Rovanion said,” Can you help us?" The King stood from his throne. He snapped his fingers and three gnomes, all mages came in carrying all sorts of equipment. A heavy set gnome staggered under the weight of a small table and set it down in the middle. The mages set up and immediately went to work. Beakers and spells were put into a small half dome orb. The gnome motioned to Rovayeh. He took off his pendant and gave it to the gnome. It felt like he was losing some side of him, he never dreamed off. He hesitated and finally gave the pendant. The gnome dropped it into the glass orb. It dropped through like it would in a glass of water. The face of the Zamorakian loomed into the bowl. "Let me out of here, " he screamed. "The staff is mine and only mine!" Many eyes looked to the Grand Tree for the group was drawing attention. Zamorakians had captured the Karamjan Tree Glider and was forming a huge warplane to capture the group of adventurer's. "Kill everyone," Zamorak's orders were. "Leave the man with the necklace and Guthix's offspring alone." Rotalkon snorted. Of course Zamorak would be willing to risk his men for 2 adventurer's. He wanted to actually march from Ardougne, straight at the Stronghold. "Idiot, "he muttered. They would be dead before they reached the gate! He planned to drive a small group of assassin’s to kill important gnomes, leaving the adventurer's wide open for a surprise attack. They would never know what him them..... Deep within the maze a large group of Zaros follower's paced around and waited. On Xeil was meditating, while Neikraz tried to threaten a tree. The spirit tree would not budge. He refused to take the group to the Grand Tree. So Neikraz scooped the King from the hostages and threatened to kill him. The tree bended like kindling. The troops were among the finest of Zaros's mages and warrior's, some above On Xeil's level of fighting skill. Each fighter had a long thing Dragon Scimitar, except for one difference. Each time the soul of the Dragon was called up a pure blast of energy would kill anyone in the way. On Xeil armed his men with an arsenal of Dragon dagger's, and outfitted Neikraz's huge arm with a slightly smaller Dwarf Cannon. "Let's go, "he said, As they all touched the Spirit Tree, On Xeil announced, "They won't know what hit em...." The Saradominists didn't need any of that. They just walked in. A group of three adventurer's on another Treasure Trail, what's the harm? Manirious just kept staring at the Grand Tree room. "This is for you, brother, "he thought. As the ritual reached it's end, with many arguments, hissy fits, and oddly enough, a request for someone's left shoe and belt buckle, the Zamorakian finally let go. "Alright," he said, clearly irritated at Kaeyan's interrogation style. "The staff is with my father, in deep wilderness." The wizard’s leapt up with joy and started to get drunk. "Wait," Rovayeh said, putting and end to the drinking game and bubble bath. "Where is your father?" "Is he going to put up a fuss?" And why hasn't he used the staff before?" The Zamorakian sighed. "Well it would be very hard for him to use the staff." "Why?" "He's dead," he announced. "I buried him at the edge of Gielinor, northwest of the agility arena." "Find his grave and you'll find the staff." Rovayeh slowly put his hand into the dome and took the necklace. "I'll show you the way, "he smiled,” OR my name isn't Silvarzious." Rovanion got up from his chair and turned to the King. "Where are your troops," he questioned. "They're already gone, we just shipped out the last of the supplies and Terror Birds. "Woman and children?" "Evacuated to live with the Druids." "Then who's preventing an attack here?" King Nardone looked up. "My best men, one hundred stout, are leaving with me today." "Good," he said, " Teleport away quickly, before the Abyss is shut down for siege." "The last thing the Saradominist what is for the Zamorakian's to teleport and mass produce runes. Boy's, we're going to Edgeville." Then, at that very moment, all hell broke loose. Chapter 14: Assault on the Grand Tree Pt 2 The door to the Grand Tree shattered, spraying wood everywhere. The roof was completely destroyed, caving in on King Nardone. Two twin hammers barreled through the wall and caught Kaeyan and Rasolo in the chest, driving them straight down through the tree. A flurry of Dragon daggers pinned Rovayeh down through the floor into the Grand Tree's roots, while Rovanion was frozen by dozens of ancient magicks attacks. All of this happened within a matter of seconds. Rovayeh dislodged himself groggily as 7 men came through the hole in the floor. Rasolo pulled with all his strength, summoning a giant crystal jack. He finally freed himself of the hammers and stumbled to Rovayeh. Kaeyan lay unmoving on the ground. The seven Zamorakian's approached. "I, "one announced, "Am Rotalkon, official assistant to Zamorak." He shifted and looked at the group. "I will be frank, we need that necklace, so with all due respect, hand it over before I rip out your hand and do it for you." Rasolo smiled. A crystal halberd began to grow. He muttered a spell and his armor glowed an eerie green. Rovayeh drew out his whip. He slowly dipped the dragon daggers he captured into On Xeil's poison he collected. "Really, " Rasolo smiled," Well if your not careful, and underestimate us, we might just take down your men and then you, one by one." Rotalkon laughed. His men drew their weapon, while he raised his staff. "Prove it," he hissed, "Whose going to stop me?" Rasolo laughed. He laughed so hard he started coughing, gasping for air. "Not us, "he gasped," Him!" All the Zamorakian's turned. Behind them, was two demons. One black, one green. They grinned devilishly. Riding one, was Glough. He smiled. "Finally," he squeaked, "A chance to wage war on human's." The demon's roared and shook. One Zamorakian tried to take a swipe, but was met by the Black demons hand, Pushing him up until he burst through hitting all levels of the grand tree, finally resting on a pike at the top. The Zamorakian's turned and gulped. "Fun time," Glough smiled. The demon leaped..... They ran with Kaeyan's limp body up to the Grand Tree. They ran to the trapdoor, ignoring the grisly sounds and squeaky laughs of Glough. Rasolo opened the trapdoor. Atop the tree Rovanion was battling the Zaros mages. He looked down. "Everything looks safe," he said. He ducked down to help with Kaeyan. The trapdoor burst a half a second later. Neikraz was blasted by Manirious straight into the door. He lay there groaning in a pile as the three climbed out. Manirious engaged himself in a duel with On Xeil. Every blast was met by On Xeil's staff. On Xeil slowly knelt as a lightning strike hit him full on. Manirious approached him to deal the final blow, when he drew a group of dragon dagger's. On Xeil lunged forward and quickly dealt two straight swipes to the chest, then pushed into Manirious with his boot's. He forced Manirious to the ground, drew back a dozen dragon dagger's and fired. He quickly conjured up a shield freezing the dagger's in place, turning them to dust. "By the power vested in me, "he roared, " You have caused the deaths of countless, Saradominist's and good men to boot." On Xeil's eyes opened wide. The holy symbol in Manirious palm glowed white hot. "Which the penalty is....death and imprisonment in the 5th dimension." "This is Saradomin's will, and may he pray for your soul." The blast that followed woke Neikraz and Kaeyan up. It stopped Glough and Rotalkon in their tracks. Rovanion was in awe at the sight from up above. The Holy symbol exploded with a burst of energy. The star glued itself to On Xeil's robes. He looked down. Manirious continued. Each point lit up, searing his body within an inch of his life. As the fourth and final point lit up, Manirious breathed, "This is for you, brother." The star lit up and blew On Xeil away. He was propelled from the Grand Tree with such force, he shattered anything in his path. As his body deteriorated, the star slowly went ahead of what was left of him and grew into a portal. He disappeared, and was gone from Gielinor. A small gnome walked up to Rasolo, still staring at the light. "Wow," he said, " I don't need drugs to enjoy this, just to enhance it." At that comment everyone snapped out of it. Neikraz quickly shot a cannon ball straight at the mage. Manirious looked back. The ball met a circle of light and disappeared. "You helped him kill my brother, didn't you," Manirious said. "Well join him." A large portal grew out of the ground swallowing up the Human Juggernaut. This time Rotalkon broke the silence. Two demons flew up from a hole in the Grand Tree along with a shouting Glough and toppled straight on the agility course in a red flaming ball. Rotalkon stumbled out of Glough's houses ladder with two other men, brushing him off. He looked at the agility course. "That's an enhanced version of Flames of Zamorak," he said. He turned to the assassin’s. "What are they teaching you these days, to look cool," he questioned. The assassin’s looked down, like school boys caught stealing chemical's from the science la.....never mind. He turned to Rasolo, Kaeyan, and Rovayeh. "Like I said, " Rotalkon said," The necklace." "My men have died and I don't want more bloodshed today." Manirious and his band looked outraged. "The staff should go to Saradomin," the warrior bellowed," Armadyl's time is gone to be the god of goodness, Saradomin needs it." Rotalkon stepped forward. "Zamorak's follower's need the staff, their weakest of the bunch," he raged. "We need a fighting chance for discipline, organization." A Zaros magician dropped down from the fight above. "Only one way to find out," he smiled and cast a massive ice blitz. Everyone froze except for Kaeyan, Rovayeh, and Manirious. Kaeyan scooped up King Nardone and followed Rovayeh up to Rovanion at the top of the Tree. Manirious followed. Rovanion had easily swiped down most of the magician's and had the remaining four easily outplayed. Vines grew around the dead's scimitars to rest around Rovanion's waist. He looked like an Indian deity with over 14 scimitars in his grasp. As he sent a huge wave of energy at two magicians, they quickly fell and died. He flung all the rest of them into another mage. The Zaros follower stopped them with an ice burst and revived some of his fallen comrades. "Knew I should have killed more, " Rovanion muttered. They pulled out their ancients staff while Rasolo grew another crystal halberd, Rovanion a crystal two hand. Kaeyan drew up an arrow while Rovayeh let his whip uncurl. As two mages tried to utter a spell. Rovayeh stung their hands, dropping their runes, and wrapped his whip around their staff's. He pulled and drove the staffs point's straight into their owner's heart's. Kaeyan took the chance to drive 3 arrows into one magician while the were in shock. "Three down, four to go," Kaeyan smiled. The rest of the magician's laughed. "They were grunt's, with a massive hangover from last night," he laughed. "They we're our bag carrier's." The four straightened up. Rasolo lept forth and tried a quick 2 swipe. He never got off the ground. Before he could jump, he was frozen by 4 blocks of ice. Kaeyan shot a dozen arrows straight at one of the magician's. He jumped to another branch, missing 5, blocking 4 with his staff, and swiping the others to the side with a shadow blitz. Rovayeh hacked and hacked until the ice blocks were cracked. Rasolo fell on the floor unconscious. Rovayeh spun around releasing all what's left of the dragon daggers and leapt towards one magician, while Rovanion launched 3 huge branches and root's. Kaeyan fired as many arrows as he could and finally pulling out a rune crossbow to end the wave of force with six enchanted ruby bolts. The result was monstrous. The magician twirled his staff, sticking all of the daggers in it. He leaped from branch to branch, freezing them together and driving the Ancient staff's into the vines, shattering them all. He leapt up and blocked most of the arrows, some hitting him full on. But he didn't care. He was a train, unstoppable, a force by itself . The bolts though, mattered. Each hit a warrior mage, driving them to the ground, creating a huge bolt of red lightning. As this happened, Kaeyan's friend watched in horror as he went down as well, in greater shape. The Zaros follower's got up. Impossible, thought Rovayeh. That should've killed him. As they raised they're staff's, a huge lightning bolt came down and shattered the branch they were standing on. They came crashing down, all the way to the floor. The Zarosian's suddenly disappeared in a purple cube wind. Rovanion pulled out a small flower and put it under Rasolo's nose. He woke up immediately, to see Manirious standing there with his gang. "We took care of the Zamorakian's," he said, "They teleported away, but we still need that necklace." Rovayeh looked at his friends. "No, "he said, "Although I wear your gods armor, beneath this is robes of Guthix." "And it's wrong to steal." "If your god truly was good he could see that." "There's no way to get out of it, this time, "Manirious urged. "The Abyss is captured and no teleportation by runes is possible now, unless the Saradominist's want it." "You may have Guthix's son on your side, but we have Saradomin's too." Everyone was stunned. Even his partner's looked at him wonderously. "Yes that's right, Saradomin is my father, "he announced." "And On Xeil killed my brother, Ikov." "It is sad to say, because of your ignorance, the gods will fight in the wilderness." "I cannot let that happen." As he pulled out the runes to kill the four, King Nardone stumbled out onto the branch. "Hey, "he gasped,” Get out of here." He threw four glories at the group of friends. Rovayeh quickly thought, Edgeville. Manrious quickly fired a lightning bolt, severing the tree limb, sending it crashing down, but it was too late. As the tree limb fell, empty of all adventurers’, Manrious's hopes fell into the abyss with it..... This post has been edited by Po22: Feb 18 2008, 08:03 PM |
