Well maybe I could interview you but we have a tendency of interviewing people that are like staff members or people that have alot of posts and almost everybody knows so I might interview you but the chances are very slim.

Don't worry, I'll soon be more well known in the forum. Lots of people know me already for things such as the NPC database.

It isn't true that we only interview staff members and people with lots of posts. For example, our first interview was with "barr n00b" (http://runescape.salmoneus.net/forums/index.php?showuser=4608) and he isn't a staff member, and I don't think he had many posts when he was interviewed. We're even trying to lower the amount of interviews with staff members and vary our interviewees a bit more.

We interview people if we have an interesting topic to interview the person about.

Actually the interviews need to be a bit more serious IMO. But Prash said next issue they would probably have more controversial issues, how about also adding more interviews, two isn't really that great.

Also, with the recent complaints about the interviews, maybe there should be a little more thought put into the questions? I mean rather than have just one person do the interview, he could run it by a few other newspaper staff members or you could have two interviewers work together for one interview instead. Just a thought.

Yeah alot of our people were inactive and no one gave in interviews so only mine 2 had to be accepted...and yes we won't have more humor interviews.... just controversial and serious ones now... the funny ones are out of style I guess

Richman, interviews can still have humour in them, I'm just saying that we will no longer have these random crazy interviews, the type of interviews that will work best would be like the one Co-Z did interviewing Dani in Issue 2. Debate interviews will also be interesting which we can have for Issue 4.

Yeah that's what I meant: No more interviews with huge loads of humor in them. Debate interviews sound good... but I most likely can't do debate interviews...

Richman you don't need to agree with everything that everyone says. Say it once and we'll understand it. Saying it five times doesn't do anything (this is general, not just here - I know you only said it twice here). Also, remember, there's a lot of other staff members (and we should be getting more staff soon).


As for interviews, Prash is the section head so he should see that in the future the interviews are a bit more serious.

I think maybe 3 interviews is a good number (maybe 4). Of those, only one should be a really well known person (like a mod or something). Some people might find those interviews interesting, but I think a lot of normal forum members would enjoy learning about each other.

Seems to me you are doing your utmost to belong to the same category as Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie and the like: Asking for attention and close to doing all possible to get it. Seems to me the paper staff is more than capable of deciding who to interview and, above all, whom not. Since it isn't up to me and I am just an innocent by-stander my reaction would be this: Interview all but Scary Monkey.

In the Dutch language we have a saying: Mensen die vragen worden overgeslagen. Translated that would be something like: Those who ask get passed over.
