Full Version: Ask Column
Sal's RuneScape Forum > The Media Board > Newspaper > Announcements
blad
Hello there Sal's Realm! The newspaper staff would like to announce an exciting new feature in this month's issue: an Advice Column!

The column will feature 4 sections:
  • A graphics questions column (led by Steve, Prashanna and others)
  • A real life questions column (led my Master Neverdead)
  • A forum questions column (led by OklahomanBlade, and richman99)
  • A RuneScape questions column (we're not sure who's leading this yet, but we know it includes hothead73 and Master Of Penguins)
Feel free to send in pretty much anything! A few guidelines though:
-You can basically send in anything, but if we feel it's too personal or graphic we might not publish it.
-Be aware that if this gets a big response we may not be able to respond to every one.

To ask for advice, PM the person listed above. Since we don't quite know who the RuneScape person is yet please PM Steve with your RuneScape questions for now.

We may add more things in the future.

Have fun!!

~The Newspaper Staff
Steve
To ask us for advice, PM the person that is listed there. PM me all the RuneScape-related advice and I'll get it to whoever answers those questions. If you wish to remain anonymous, please say so in the PM.

Could a moderator move this to the main forum? Thanks. smile.gif
blad
Oh, sorry, for some reason I thought you had mod powers here blink.gif

Thanks for adding that stuff in I'll put it there smile.gif

Hex and I are supposed to have them, but Prash and Meen still do. slanty.gif
Richman99
About how many questions will there be for each section? I was thinking 3 to 4.

We will figure out how many to answer once we have recieved questions... tongue.gif
blad
Well, I doubt we could print more than 5 per subject in an issue tongue.gif

But there's no limit set in stone until we get requests.

~Blade
Richman99
Oklahoman Blade, can you pm me the questions on the Newspaper Forums becasue I won't be very active here.
blad
All right, Hothead73 has sent me an application and it looks great, so he's going to help with RuneScape questions.

Haha, great; so I'm in! Yeah, so basically if anybody has any Runescape-related questions, feel free to PM me and ask the question. I'll answer them and try and see if I can add as many as I can to the paper. Otherwise I will just PM the response back to you. That's basically how it works, right Blade?
blad
Yes, that's how it'll go tongue.gif

Did you get any forum questions yet?
The Darkest
I've always wanted to do an advice column, I could help lead.
hothead73
I wasn't really expecting to get any PM's or anything straight away, but I just got a question. Do you think we should like post an ad for the advice column somewhere else (of course somewhere appropriate not like in the marketplace or something tongue.gif)? Cuz I'm not sure that people regularly check the newspaper subforum. I'm on the staff and I only visit the subforum a few times a week. I doubt we could get a sticky or it put in the announcements, but maybe we could like put it in the Scape Lounge or something like that where more people spend their time on Sals? It might help promote the new addition to the newspaper. Just think about it.
Richman99
I was thinking the same exact thing! The Scape Lounge would probably be the best place.
blad
Yeah, I think that sounds like a good idea. Maybe we could put a real life sticky in Scape Lounge or General Chat, RS sticky in General RS, GFX sticky is GFX discussion and forum questions in forum help?

~Blade
Richman99
Sounds like a good idea. Mind if I post the Forum Questions in the Forum Help forum?
blad
Shouldn't we check with an admin first?

~Blade
hothead73
Yeah, I'll contact a mod or admin asap. Hopefully with their permission, this new addition to the newspaper will be promoted and become successful smile.gif
