Hell no it shouldn't. Should stealing be legal? Errr.
And about them busting you, to whoever said that (sorry about not addressing you directly, I'm lazy), they CAN catch you. Many university students are caught and sued because they source under a university server. They will catch you at work. Maybe not at your home (which they still can), but they are cracking down on illegal downloaders.
Luckily I'm smart enough not to download at public places and I'm only 13 so thats not a problem for me.
If you are caught, your parents would be sued, even if they're unaware of what is happening.
You can't be sued for something you haven't done.
That's only true if you're below a certain age.. Your parents are responsible for you. I remember a few years back someone in the Boston area was sued for around $100,000 (it was on the news.. I didn't have cable so that's what I watched

). But it was a teenager who did the downloading so it was their parents that were actually the ones being sued. I'll see if my local news station website has an article on it..

To be honest, I do torrent quite often because it's legal (well at least up here in Canada.)
Are you sure? I thought that in Canada its only legal if you already own the thing. So if you own a CD you could download the music on that CD through torrents or whatever.
