Full Version: New/old Laptop
Well my sister got a Sony Vaio, so I took her old 1... which was REALLY BAD AND SLOW. We did a system restore, and then it crashed. My dad got it fixed for free in his work place, and got over $150 of upgrades, such as more memory and more Ram. I also got Microsoft Office 2007 for free!
It's really quick now. It pwns. So, have you ever gotten a new/old laptop?

nah im getting new alienware in a year or so cause i just got a desktop computer [custom built] i think alienware is good cause its good graphics for gaming and stuff. ive never had a old laptop.

that was not a joke. seriously if u want to game well u should get a good gaming computer, so alienwares my solution. maybe ill buy cheap alienware and do some mods myself. Meh, TECUMSEH
I'd save my money and build from scratch--no reason to pay 30+% more on everything for a fancy case... I'll spend extra on a case just not on everything... and I'd have a good reason to buy it (like superior air flow--read: XClio Windtunnel). If the laptop does what you want it to do, keep it. No reason to upgrade if it's adequate.

well guess i didn't tell u my parents have a wholesale computer friend. i can get most i parts from his store, he comes to my house and he usually brings some parts over. well there not totally high end see wholesale is for companies but they have good monitors and RAM and CPUs but video is bad. well i do spend my money on other things like the movie theater [definition] and entertainment like traveling.
