Haha, now it's in a debate form with a poll. Hopefully, this isn't double posting.

-Does the thinkpad have a dedicated video card?

-Battery life for both? -Lazy lazy me.

I like both of them TBH, but a Lenovo's : LCD screen lasts longer,

uhh the first 2 choices have 0 results on google i doubled checked, dunno try a different number for them, and heres some review of the thinkpad : review thinkpad!

id personally go with neither; id say acer [u considered before] because Acer is on the rise and they wish to buy out gateway before the end of the year and stuff. buy what you think is the best price for the best technical specs! laugh.gif just bad thing about OEM Hp, Dell and gateways and stuff is that the comp might not be able to be modded like the case size is not industry standard like the PSU has a different size so dont try changing youself and electricity currents are different than the standards. post more detail on the laptops cause there are many specs on many sites for the first 2 links.

Ah. I see.

Well, I don't really change anything much in my notebook anyways. Ram is pretty easy to do, and same with hard drive.

It depends on the thinkpad... if you order a budget one with 256 mb ram, it WILL be horrible.

I had a Thinkpad and couldn't fault it, I would go for that, but HP's aren't bad.

Does the Lenovo Thinkpad have Dedicated video cards? /or a dedicated video card.
Scooby
I consider hp laptops best, go with either the first two.

It looks like it has integrated graphics, but it is hard to tell (or maybe I am blind).
snl2549
Integrated graphics is what I want... I do lots of photoshop, which is why I want the HP more.

(This is a bump, but it has relevant info. Is this against ruules?)

An illegal bump would be bumping a topic that is 7 or more days old (not posted in), so you should be fine. tongue.gif

Anyways, I have the 9500 Intel version and I must say it runs like heaven. Just today I was busy with some C++/DirectX development (3D and stuff) and I forgot to turn my low power usage plan off, didn't notice a thing. ohmy.gif (the low power plan is set to only use 15% of both processors)

AMD isn't suited for this laptop though, Intel's Centrino technology makes it such a great processor, not only because of the performance but also because the max. power usage is 90 watts of the whole laptop as a whole, and it produces virtually no heat at all. smile.gif

2 hours on full performance, over 6-7 on battery saving mode. For the HP 9500 anyways tongue.gif
