QUOTE
The dawn of a new computing era has arrived. No longer will the PC be a boring square box, hidden away under a desk. In an industry where others take steps, Alienware takes another giant leap. Designed by gamers, for gamers, Alienware's exclusive new case combines the features you've been asking for with styling like nothing you've ever seen before.

With the combination of both positive and negative fan rotation, and a low-drag air intake system, AlienIce moves air efficiently and accurately over your system's components to keep them running at absolute peak performance. In the interest of style, AlienIce features a hypnotic, glowing "bioluminescence" that emanates from every intake in your choice of Astral Blue, Terra Green, or Fusion Red.

Alienware has taken convenience one step further with the addition of four USB 2.0 ports mounted directly on the front of the case. Hook up your mouse, joystick, or gamepad quickly, and get right into the game! Hook up four gamepads to experience unrivaled four player action!

Any PC enthusiast knows that with the addition of new components, comes a mess of cabling at the rear of the case. With Alienware's exclusive cable management system, you can control the chaos once and for all!

Having the right tools for the job is not an issue when you own an Alienware system. All patented Alienware cases come with thumb screws in place of the conventional screws that secure most cases. This allows you to access internal components of your system without ever needing to pick up a screw driver.

Alienware understands that you can never seem to find that one additional screw you need to install your fresh out of the box component. Worry no more, Alienware provides ample space to store these precious items.

Besides raw power, Alienware is also known for its beautiful aesthetics. Patented Alienware cases are available in many brilliant metallic colors to meet the demands of the even the wildest imaginations. Each color has been finely tuned to match Alienware's rigid specifications. See why Alienware computers are not only the best performing machines on the market, but the best looking ones as well.

It's checkup time at the Genius bar, so I left it (computer - macbook) with my friend over at Apple for some tune-ups.

Asus atm.

I have a laptop, so it doesn't really have a "case".

Thats more or less the same as mine. I don't see why people require such fancy cases. Its the internal products that I'm more concerned about.

My case is likely the nicest part of my computer--everything else looks horrid compared to today's computers.

Basic case you would find in an office environment to be honest, does its job just as well as any other.

You actually get two cases when you buy a laptop. Laptops also come with carrying cases. hysterical.gif

I'm not going to bother taking pictures of my computer case just so you can see it Tecumseh. Just imagine an old beige computer case. An expensive computer case is also something I consider a waste of money. Fancy lights won't make your PC go any faster. They do make it easy to upgrade and swap out parts, but I rarely do that. All that matters is how well it circulates air.

I actually had both pictures for a while--I just happened to remember that they were on the computer. Other then the case I already have, the below case is the one I want--I'll likely get it when I upgrade within the next 12 months.

I actually quite like that case, it isn't flashy or anything, but looks like a well built, good quality case.

is that a see though circle on the side? cant see it well.

No, that's a 25cm case fan. Unfortunately, the fan has blue LEDs on it--still, the best price for a case with such a large fan. If I can find a way to take the LEDs out (such as cutting their power off and rejoining the wires with some electrical tape), I certainly will. Anyways--that's probably my favorite case for $50... there's a higher end model for $130-$140 (the Windtunnel) that has 2 25cm fans and basically the same design.

It's the Monolize I, here's a picture:

Has a slightly better look IMO, but it's the fans that do the trick. smile.gif It also has room for two additional 120MM fans.

Ofcourse not, those are obviously implanted by magical creatures so you take them back to your home, from which they can operate their nuclear assault. rolleyes.gif

Actually it is the same... XClio makes cases for both themselves and for APlus... you can tell because all cases made by them have the XClio logo somewhere--generally the power button. I've not seen an APlus case without the XClio logo.

Alienware is for rich people who want to spend +50% of what they should pay for the exact same equipment.

I have no respect for Alienware. Buy them at your own risk.

Also, I use a lanboy for mobile purposes, lap top for trips, and my server board (which is now reaching back to it's 5TB state, for those who know me) is in a classic, stock server casing.

I agree, alienware is just a pathetic purchase decision.
