I have been wondering for a while, what are the selection criterion for people being interviewed. I have been wondering for quite some time what I would have to do to be interviewed, and wondering whether people are picked at random, or must do something extraordinary.
EDIT: @ stobbo and Prashanna, sorry to blank the purpose of your posts, but I thought I would do this to save space with another newpaper query.

Sgt.Pepper kinda went inactive on the newspaper forums and he was the one who did the price predictions.

Well sometimes we pick by random, or we interview a new mod, dm, etc. We don't HAVE to pick a mod or staff member though (:

The choice is basically left up to the interviewers. Whatever ideas they get, they are allowed to act on, and then the decision is made as to whether or not it will be included in the paper. I remember one time Mrc even posted an interview application type thing in his blog.
Of course, the interviewers will most likely pick people who have stood out in some way to them.

The interviewers pick people who are well known throughout the forum or who aren't well known but are very interesting. Occasionally Mrcsupertrain holds 'applications' in his blog but he hasn't done that in a while < <
