Vista is definitely better than XP if you have a computer that can run it properly. For as far as I know, most software is compatible. The problem lies in the hardware.
Not only because there is less Vista-compliant hardware around, but also because everything in the hardware has to work, which is not the case with software.
If you buy a laptop with Vista, and it has atleast 1, preferable 2 gigs of ram, 1.60GHz+ Dual core or 3GHz+ single core and a Direct X 10 + Shader model 4.0 compatible graphics card, I'd say go for it!

Can someone find a laptop like the one Toungy is describing. As long as it's under 5,000 dollars it's okay.
