Tesla gpu = Tesla C870. pcie card my friend. Mind you its soon to be replaced with a 9800gtx ocd. Those apparntly kick out a terraflop O.O

However it might require a server to power the dam thing lol.

u made a too general post. u just said tesla. theres a tesla server and case and all. and tesla is new. the 9200 is comming out. the 9800 GTX is coming out in a year or more. dont u know its always 9200 then 9400,9600 9800 and then GT, GTS, GTS superclocked and then GTX and sometimes pearl too. its based on the 8800 so i doubt its faster then the 9800 or the 9200

I would either get a new internet card, or new cooling fans.

i thought gpu was clear. still costs about 3 grand though, was just reading general stuff about it on cnet, not particulary bothered at the moment just thinking, what would you do with that much speed? just scares me of what applications would be able to utilize it... suppose it could always be used for dual / tri screen.

I would get the most expensive part I could find, probably a CAD video card. They are about $5,000 each. Then I would sell it and buy a Suzuki Bandit, upgrade my computer, and I don't know what I would do with the left over money. I'd probably take a trip.

Actually, I took a tour of the Sprint telephone company. I got to see their servers. Their network is run off Network Interface Cards that cost $1,000,000 each. If I had one of those, I would be set for life.

not really i can get a lot of video cards and stuff for free but nothing over 5000 for just 1 part. tesla is bad i think. its still a geforce 8800 not a 9000 based GPU. slower.

Eh... I'd probably the most expensive a professional CAD graphics card, again to sell it. That, or the $1,000,000 NIC sounds pretty good!

If Nvidia follows their usual pattern, it's 9800 (GT/GS) -> 9600/9400 (GT/GS) -> 9800 (GTS/GTX) -> 9600 (GTS) -> 9900 (GTS/GTX) -> 9950 (Ultra). Also, we'll probably see 8900 and 8950 cards before the 9 series.

And the teraflop thing is a rumor, nothing's announced by Nvidia yet.

I'd get a liquid cooled Nvidia 8800 GTX to match with a Q6xxx, or a Q6850.
