Can .mp3 files contain viruses? If I douwnload them of the itnernet, that is.

Toungy
When you play a .mp3 file, it might use an expoit in your media player to install viruses (or any other malware), the chances are slim though.

Agreed Toungy...

But what you really want to watch out for are .jgp files people currupt a file then change it to a .jgp and it its stuck on your computer and the only way to get rid of it is through the command promp, or you can just re-format.

Mp3's are pretty safe, .wav is the safest, shame about The file size

I've been listening to music on the Internet since I was 12, and I'm 20 now so I think you're really safe from viruses since I've never got one from doing so. smile.gif

I wish more people would .zip their music and then change the file extension to .zip.mp3. It makes the music smaller, it still plays, and you can put an entire CD into one .mp3 file.
