2. My desired position is: Runescape Discussion.
3. Any experience in this area? Errr you could say so. I sometimes write about runescape-ish themes at the good ol' newspaper of my school
4. My example:
God wars- Suicidal, or... Economical?
As of the day of 28 of August of 2007, the runescape community was introduced to a new minigame- The God Wars Dungeon.
Many people went astray by the news, for it was a long expected (rumours about it being held months before) part of the game. They dressed up to fight and after taking a quick peek at how to get there they dashed like mad men towards the entrance.
After days, people left.
Why? Because it was hard. The runescape community in general had not the skill to master this dungeon, being needed good skills and being fairly rich or patient to gather/buy the supplies. Players started developing methods to survive, and started knowing "the corners to the house".
Some groups went there for the dragon boots, which where a big atraction. Face it, for a good slayer level (83) they could have a pair of new shiny red boots. But the true secret of the dungeon, lied on 4 rooms. The general rooms.
Each of the room had a monstrous general who would give the hilt of the godsword of his god and they would drop shards. Apart from that they would also drop the shards of the godsword, which when put together with the hilt would create the marvellous godsword.
Of course, the bosses where almost impossible to kill. But still, some people stayed, and the prices of the hilts of the godswords where gigantic for the massive procure and the little supply. Whoever got a drop, got rich.
After months of it being dropped, the godsword is still a matter of legend. People keep killing the generals for the hilts and shards, being the price of the highest hilt (armadyl) remanining at 150 milion coins.
Conclusion: The godwars dungeon is a place of remarkable treasures for a though fight. Either you get rich, or you die. Enter it if you dare!
