For the example, it should be something we can read. So if you're applying for comics, post a comic strip you've made. If its interviews, post an interview of yours. Do not try to make it a masterpiece. Since we don't use applications in the paper, we want your best to be in the paper, not your application.

Well, once your in the paper, you have free roam to write for whatever section you want, though you should focus on the section you applied for.

That honestly makes an application more difficult to understand. It seemed like you were applying for all three sections. Once you're on the paper, you can write for every section, but you should focus on the section you applied for. Now then, please tell us what section(s) you want to apply for.
