I am looking for a good graphics card, but I only have PCI slots and an AGP 4x slot so what do you recommend?

Assuming you can afford the following cards, they aren't bad -

Don't be fooled by the name of a video card. Generally, the last three digits tell you what the card is for. 300 and below are for office work and applications, 400 and 500 are for fairly light gaming, 600 and 700 are decent gaming cards, and 800 are for serious gaming. tongue.gif So, for instance, a 6800 GT will perform better than a 7300 GT in terms of gaming. The first digit of the card's name tells you the generation. smile.gif

The problem is that the AGP bandwidth will limit the card's abilities, so going for a 6600/7600 would be your best option, performance wise.

Also, don't buy a card for PCI unless it's a PCI X-Press expansion. It's utterly useless (in my own personal opinion).

In my personal opinion, you're wrong. Read his first topic--he needs a new graphics card. Anyways--he has no PCI Express slots so that's out the door (as stated in the first post and by process of elimination--very few boards have both AGP (though 8x only) and PCI Express (x16 slot in x4 bandwidth). His best choices have already been recommended. As for PCI--it isn't worth it for him, but I for one like PCI graphics cards because I don't need a huge PCI Express card to run WinXP and run CPU benchmarks.
