Yeah, I just built a computer for the younglings in my family to play with.
I have the Anti-Viruses turned on and all that.

I want to know is there a way for me to password protect the command prompt?

Btw:
Its a Windows 2000
512 RAM
ATI 9550 Video Card
80GB HD
2.0Ghz

Setting their user account as a limited user automatically disables it.

Edit:
Could someone with windows 2000, or xp, (or 98) test this? I'm stuck on my linux machine, with no windows machines near by to test this to make sure it's true!

Please reply if it worked, I pulled that answer from the back of my memory.. Not sure if it'll work.
Agent F
Login as the user you want to prohibit access to command prompt.
Open up the Group Policy editor either by finding it in the Systems32 folder or typing in Run: gpedit.msc
Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System
Open up "Precent access to the command prompt" and set it to Enabled.

If you navigate to Computer Configuration > Admin Templates > System, it'll disable it on all users of the computer, so make sure you are logged in as that user and navigate to the User Config. There are a massive amount of other options that I would change if I had children, so browse around and do some testing.
