I got the Hp Dv6775us and it has 1.66 Ghz and Intel Core 2 Duo. I was wondering since its core 2 duo does that mean the ghz is times 2? I wondered if I could play Gears of War for pc. Everything is good except the Ghz.
Here are all the specs i didnt buy it at walmart but these are the exact specs http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8223068

No, you can't multiply it by two.

No point posting same thing twice, so I'll just link you to this topic: http://runescape.salmoneus.net/forums/inde...howtopic=187378

This topic should explain everything to you wink.gif

And, no, a dual core processor isn't the the speed X 2.

So i wouldnt be able to run a game that requires 2.4GHz right?
Stobbo
It is hard to say, because ghz isn't very good for measuring in. However, I would say it should run.

Really but mine is only 1.66ghz so how does that work

You can't measure performance in Ghz anymore, it isn't that simple.
farbods0
But why for games they say the requirements is a specific Ghz if it cant be measured
Stobbo
To be honest, I don't know. It doesn't make sense, but without getting too technical, there isn't anything else to use as a measurement.

That's a pretty laptop. The RAM and processor are good, the graphics...meh are okay, but same as my $629 laptop. GoW is pretty demanding.
