On August 4, 2006, AOL Research, headed by Dr. Abdur Chowdhury, released a compressed text file on one of its websites containing twenty million search keywords for over 650,000 users over a 3-month period, intended for research purposes. AOL pulled the file from public access by the 7th, but not before it had been mirrored and distributed on the Internet.

Rofl. I used to get free internet from those dial up CD's. We'd use that month and a half for free and then we'd get another one in the mail and use that free. But now we have Comcast so yeah.

I seriously dont know why aol is so popular in the US (so many americans dont know alot about the internet and assume AOL is good).
When i moved to the US (2 yrs. ago) i grugingly had to download AIM since all my friends at school used it all the time compared to Yahoo messenger and MSN which i used in the philippines alot and loved. AIM sucked the whole week i used it AND after a week, it causes a virus on my computer causing my parents to ground me from the internet for months...

Use pidgin it allows you to connect to people on MSN, Yahoo and AIM.

I use meebo.

I do not trust a website with passwords to my instant messaging accounts.
