i got an ipod video for chrissy and i dont no how to put them on i got the latest itunes and everything but when i put a cd in and try to put it on it just comes up with a heap of files if and one noes how to put videos can they please tell me..

Do you mean putting videos onto your ipod?

You need to convert the file to mp4 format before putting it on your ipod. I personally use a tool called Jodix free ipod converter.

After converted drag into iTunes.
Click on the icon symbolizing your ipod in itunes; then "video/movies".
Click sync videos/movies
now click the sync button on the bottom bar.

ok but how do i convert to mp4?, i mean llike apart from that program u use is there any other way?

What format are you currently using?

There's another program I've used before called 3GP converter link but i stopped using it because it sometimes unsynced my videos. It is however very light at 7mb and is a standalone file.

iTunes wants you to download videos for your ipod rather then convert your own, i haven't checked the latest version but they usually don't covert it for you so your probably going to have to use a 3rd party solution.

oh, right ok thanks, i downloaded that ipod thing u first suggested and when thats open do i just add files to it then press convert?

if your talking about Jodix free ipod converter the first one i mentioned. Just click add files, add all the video files you want to convert and hit convert.



Otherwise if your talking about 3GP converter. Before you start run Setup.exe now apply the setting saying MP4 - Ipod, and hit apply. Drag and drop the files you wish to convert. The files by default will appear on your desktop.
