They both have about the same reviews, but the first one is a bit better rated. I don't know much about monitors, so which would be the better deal?

I'm going to say Acer just for the sake of it.

And for the post of course.

The Sceptre appears to have a better contrast ratio. Although its not true 1080p i don't know why they've said it is since 1920x1080p is true. Acer have a fair reputation behind them, color quality and depth should be nearly the same. If you cash in that MiR you'll save $20 as well.

I've never really trusted inbuilt speakers myself, I would personally go with the Acer because of it although thats just due to my taste.

As other people have said, Acer looks lie the better deal. But make sure to get the rebate.

I'd go with the Acer. They are the better brand from what I can see. Although if being $30 cheaper is a real plus, go with the non-Acer.

I am using inbuilt speakers, and they work with games, DVDs, general stuff, music just fine. Although mine is a Viewsonic monitor, so it is likely to be hit and miss.

I'd personally go with the Sceptre, it has better quality, is cheaper and larger.

Mainly my problem is the power draw + sound quality. Your drawing more power and the sound quality is usually pretty poor. I usually find that the monitor is usually lower quality and that's why i put more trust into stand alone equipment.. Acer is a good brand for monitors so you should be fine anyway smile.gif
