Wow. Ever since I have gotten an iPod shuffle, people have always said that it sucks.

First time I got it, some things I got when asked are:

"Why"
"iPod Shuffle sucks!"
"Get a nano instead"
"Why'd you buy that"

My question is why is everyone so against it? I know only 2 others with a shuffle in my grade (one doesn't even attend my school anymore).

Everyone hates it, but why? What's wrong with it? I think it's fine. No display, no problem.

I don't see much wrong with it.

I prefer shuffles to regular. It saves you the hassle of picking a song.

People think it isn't cool 'cause it doesn't have a display, and they think it functions like a primitive MP3 player. So what? If you're happy with it, why would you need a more expensive one with a display that can play the movies you're not going to watch?

I have a shuffle, and I like it. It's smaller, more durable, and I can listen to it in class without getting caught.

I think people dislike the shuffle simply because it doesn't do anything other than play music. Also the shuffle really doesn't look all that "cool".

I actually like the shuffle because all I use an MP3 player for is playing music.

But what about the 1 gigabyte issue.
Some guy I asked said "Oh, it only holds 1 gb, and you can get a 2gb regular mp3 for the same or $10 more" I think he's right .

Yeah, but 1GB is still 240 songs. I don't think anyone would need more than that between dockings.

I am actually at 800 mb used now. I think I'll be out of space within a year .

And price comparison? $10 more will get you another GB?!?!?!

I see nothing wrong with it. Know what you want to do with your purchases, and you won't be disappointed. That's the problem most of the time. Some people care about size or some about abilities. If you want a tiny MP3/MP4 player, the iPod Shuffle is a solid choice. If you want something flashier, it's probably not for you.

I had a shuffle and it owned Maybe if people knew what they were talking about then they would see why they are good. I used to think they were crappy before I got one.

My sister got the iPod shuffle a while back. I don't know why, I think she just wanted something that said iPod.

I think it's a waste. Actually, only thing I don't think is a waste is the Classic.
