im gonna get this game

i need to run it on my laptop
my display size is ATI radeon x1270
is that bigger than radeon pro 8900?
Acid
Display size? What game will you be trying to run? I believe the X1270 runs on 64mb dedicated memory and is fairly capable of running older games (perhaps Doom3 at low resolution)

This will tell you if you can run it or not.

But I doubt you'll be able to run COD4 with that graphics card. slanty.gif

There's no way you'll be able to run COD4 on anything resembling full graphics.
Acid
I'm not sure actually, i've just got home from building a bunch of laptops with the X1250 chipset/ Video card and they don't actually appear to be all that good to be honest.

Read the following article;
http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Radeon-Xp...200.3775.0.html

The benchmarks should help you. I doubt that laptop can run COD4 very well. The 9800pro would probably run the game better, mainly due to the dedicated memory on the card.

If you have enough RAM, having shared memory isn't such a problem or a drawback. It's slower, but it's better then just not having that graphics memory.
