You don't want one--trust me about that. They cause a lot of trouble. Many of us (older, like 17+) members remember quite a few of those damned Desktop Buddies. Usually they have a good portion of spyware and make ads pop up on your desktop, as well are just a pain in the cabbage to remove. Seriously--believe me about this. They're not something to have, and they're not cool.

Bobsama beat me to the point. You don't want desktop buddies. Most contain spyware and other malware.

I used to unintentionally get them quite a few years ago. They always came with malicious content. I don't know of any that are safe, but it's not my interest to have one. Is there a particular one you want?

There is no place to download a safe desktop buddy.

Actually it was a limited time thing of the star wars website. Not even sure it qualified as a desktop buddy though.

Buddies are a pain in the butt.
Full of viruses and spyware...And I think theres no way you can get that kind of buddy even if it was safe cause I never saw one of those. You gotta trust Bob-sama, it takes forever to get rid of...you can just like request a wallpaper that looks like a buddy in the wallpaper at graphics section...

I remember BonziBUDDY. He was the best. I got him back when he didn't have any malware attached to him. My advice is to stay away from this sort of thing. They all have some sort of malware now.
