I am planning on getting a new motherboard soon to go with my videocard I bough quite a long time ago... any recommendations? I need one that can hold around 2 gb of RAM and it has to have a PCI-express x16 slot for my card. It also needs to be below $100.

Also while looking around I have found these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128084 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813135059 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813138098 are they good and which is probably going to be the best?

Also I will probably be getting a new processor too, what are some good ones that will go with those motherboards. (or other ones that are good) It will also need to be fairly cheap but not a really bad one.

Are you upgrading your current computer? If so, please post your computer specs. You do not want to end up with a motherboard that supports your video card and 2 GB of RAM but does not support the CPU you have installed. smile.gif

DDR or DDR2 RAM? Intel (LGA775 or PGA478) or AMD (Socket A, Socket 754, Socket 939, or Socket AM2)?

I ain't sure on all the specs because my computer isn't working right now... but I am going to probably get a new CPU too because I got the stuff when I got the computer (been a few years, didn't know it would have just been better to buy the stuff and build it myself although I was too young to have done that anyhow by myself) and they aren't very good. Most of the ones I have looked at that I could get are Intel but I am not sure on if that is the best on my budget. Also I don't know if I need DDR or DDR2 RAM. What are the main differences?

Big differences. Let's put this to you in short... look at my signature for that link to CPU-Z. Download and validate a dump, then post the link to that dump here.

I forgot to mention it in this thread but the computer doesn't work now because I am pretty sure the motherboard/video card is fried so that is why I am getting a new one.

Who made the computer? Do you know its model? You might have damaged your RAM as well so I don't know if it's an option to transfer. How exactly is the motherboard damaged? If you think the video card caused the problem flip your motherboard over and inspect all the damage.
