It is not necessarily illegal. It's against theirs terms, but it doesn't mean it's illegal. The legality of it depends on the country.
The EULA is a legally binding contract, braking it, is illegal in most territory's

Yeah thats a good point.
I'm guessing if they find out you play and or host a private server, they could still ban you because it goes against their terms of service. But the only way I can think of them finding out would be if you told them or they kept an eye on your realmlist file which would be a pain to do.
God only knows what "warden" actually does.....

It kinda scares me because they could be monitoring anything

Joe, we don't play retail WoW anyway so its not like Blizzard care what we do

If ArmyofIban doesn't play Retail then he has nothing to loose aswell.
Then again, retail WoW is alot better than Private servers anyway so if you do play Retail WoW, then whats the point playing Private. I'd play Retail WoW if I could be bothered paying it

I might do actually though

By not using their servers you are taking revenue away from them that's generally, when company's tend to take an interest.....

Edit: I think i changed this like 12 times.....

spelling Ect. ect .
