You have an awesome taste man! The only band I haven't heard on your list is Theory of a Deaman, and the rest i've heard and enjoyed. Nightwish is currently one of my favorites in my Top 10 somewhere.

This is a good idea for a thread, Rufus. Kudos.
I am currently looking for some good bands that are generally similar to bands like Clinic, the Archie Bronson Outfit, the Cave Singers, 16 Horsepower, early Pixies and that kind of country/folk influenced riff driven stuff.
Any suggestions?

For Folk try Nightwish, most of there stuff is heavy. But: The Islander is a Folk Song. Also try Amaranth (Orchestral Version) and Nemo (Orchestral Version).
Also Apocalyptica, they use singers now from other bands (as guest stars) but there oringal stuff is Metallica songs on the Cello and its absoutley good. They really nailed metallica songs on the Cello.

The song I'm listening to right now is Through The Fire And The Flames by Dragonforce, good song.
A band I only heard of a few weeks ago is pretty good, first song I heard from them was Emerald Sword by Rhapsody of Flames.
Nightwish are the most fantastic band ever, next to Queen and The Beatles.
If you want some folk music, listen to The Devil Went Down To Georgia, by Charlie Daniels! Fantastic song.

It would be better than "You're The One For My Fatty" from Morrissey's solo stuff.

I am actually getting "Still Ill" from Still Ill (obviously) or possibly "Sing Me To Sleep" from Asleep.
And also, you're absolutely right about TOTBL, that it Interpol's best album.
I think his voice changed over the course of Antics and Our Love To Admire and I think it sounds way cooler on Bright Lights.
I'd tell you what I think are the standout tracks but the whole album is just too good.
