Here are my graphics, from my first days of PhotoShop (September, 2005) until more recently, when I pretty much stopped using the program. Here's a select 'few' of the many things I made. This is only stuff I made for myself, so it excludes all of the requests I did back in the day. bleh.gif

Spoiler: Click to Toggle the Spoiler.

- My first signature, made September 27, 2005.

- Possibly the first sig I created after joining Sal's?

- After making this style, I spent the next few weeks completely and utterly whoring it. I'm only showing a few of the signatures I made in this style.

- Everyone loved this one, until they realized that it was just an album cover with a bit of stuf added. xd.gif

- Made January, 2006. Still one of my favorite pieces I've ever made. Except for the shadow on Yoshi's yale.. That part is ugly.

- I wrote a tutorial on this one. It's somewhere in the Tutorial DB.

- Another one that I really like. It's a combination of a bunch of photos/images.

- This is the point where I began to begin doing tons with sprites. All in the same style, of course. I'll save your eyes the pain of having to see them all.

I've always loved to do signatures. Wasn't bad or too good at them, but I did a fairly good job.

I was trawling my PB yesterday and realised that I had I think over 3 years of history in there, to put that in perspective I think that a decent ammount of these sigs were made before nearly everyone else active in sals gfx today had even started sig making. Sadly I've lost a few nostalgic pieces for me, all my GIMP sigs on the invisionfree board are now lost apart from one:

Spoiler: Click to Toggle the Spoiler.

I spelt Whiplash wrong tongue.gif, I believe this was an entry into SoTW number 2 where the theme was set render (spelt Whiplash wrong lol). I think I entered SoTW 1 but I've lost that.

Anyway many of you are thinking "my god your crap considering how long you've been doing graphics", and maybe thats true but bear in mind two things. Firstly I've had two big hiatuses from any gfx lasting about 6-8months each in the 3 year period. Secondly I was never that concentrated in my sig making, at my peak I only made a couple of sigs a week and usually the concentration of sigs dipped to about 1 a week if any. So it's really a case of one step forward and two steps back tongue.gif

Ok so you've seen the first creation I have on record so heres a few more really early ones:

Manip for another early SoTW

This ones actually quite cool tongue.gif

As is this one

Filters and stuff biggrin.gif

Thats all I really have from the very early period, I've lost most of the stuff of which some is coming back to me in memory. But now ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to a landmark, something almost of epic importance, it may look crap but:

This is probably the first fully abstract c4d sig I can remember from sals, don't quote me on that though tongue.gif, it was certainly my first all abstract. It was made when the only available C4D's were by a guy named 4nub1s on GR where he sold a pack of big and what would be considered by todays standards, bad C4d's for 5 creds a pack.

This sort of concludes part one, you can see some of the early trends in sig making. I seem to have taken a break from sig making here because the next batch of sigs are generally made with effect c4d's or some newer style I can remember and I certainly know that it was a while before Prometheus brought us effects renders down from the gods.

To start off the next period of sig making I#ll show you some stock sigs that I made (remember this is a vague chronological order tongue.gif)

Quite like these two but the next one is horrible

I can see some improvment in these sigs now but some elements I dislike tongue.gif
Onto some c4d's

I really really like this one, honestly, it's my favourite from pages 12/13 of my pb tongue.gif

Again I quite liked this one at the time, and still do quite a lot tongue.gif

From phase 2 comes a lovely comparison as I used the same stock in one of my earlier sigs:

You can see how a lack of contrast was starting to become more stylish (although the problem wasn't as bad as it is today). I much prefer the earlier one tongue.gif

Oh and a little bit o history, a collab between me and Sey

Hawt much?

Thats a fun one, SoTW number 6-ish entry, my first true dabble with the pen tool biggrin.gif

titled SoTW 5, I told you it wasnt in order tongue.gif

Ok now welcome to my period of first goodness biggrin.gif

Ok so I still wasn't that good tongue.gif

Made off a tut by gavin ^^

Made a few tuts around this time on that Halo sig and some other but I've lost them all

Definitly made a tut on this and sold it for 500 creds, people would buy anything back then wouldn't they tongue.gif

My c4d work was really coming along, inspired by a BLT sig biggrin.gif

This may have come from a tut

MORE TO COME, we are currently on page 12 of my 14 page pb, I'm not pasting every sig, just the ones with interest. This a trip down memory lane for me but it's nice if people comment as I put a bit of time into this and its fun to laugh at me expense tongue.gif

Spoiler: Click to Toggle the Spoiler.

Ok, I started in first year. I'm heading into sixth year next so I think I've been doing it for 5 years and still contiuing.

First sigs I've done were following tuts.

Those were my firsts. I'm now just going to post my old sigs before I developed my style.

One of my favourites.

I have more but I think I'll move onto my newer style now. Those sigs were good though as I developed it from all those old sigs. Sals made me realise a lot of things and I used it as inspiration to create something newer and better.
