I started this ages ago and nearly finished, I got further than this but lost a lot when my computer got a virus, gonna try and finish it now and some of you may remember it from the first time around

Right so its a 1 year bump, so sue me. No point making a new topic when this one already exsists and I'm adding to a discussion. Re-learning how to pixel as its actually been about a year before this topic when I started so 2 years. Teeth are a bit shabby.

Oh hey there. Nice dragon, love the shading and angle!

I'd fix it up by making it less 'scribbly' and more controlled for now.
Adjust colors in photoshop, that's what I do.

Greens should go towards a lime color, red to a pink-orange-red mixture.
Shadows to a blue-purple color.

Are you going to dither? I know the shades are so small and stuff but are you?

my problem is that the colors are kind of odd.

It actually sort of looks like it was water brushed sort of gives it a semi-messy look to the coloring.

great picture though, really detailed. Phenomenal.

To answer a few things:
Dont really intend a background as it looks cool enough on black.

As for it being scribbly I consider it my style if you can call it that. It enables me to pixel quickly and with a visual effect I like (Most would say 3 years isnt quick but I've probably spent around 5-10 hours in total not sure at all on that figure though).

This is and always will be 100% ms paint as I originally started as a personal challenge to prove I could pixel 'old school' and to prove that ms paint was the way to go.

Oh and finally I did originally used a picture as a vague reference to get original shape and colour scheme (never colour picked though), I have since lost that picture and im just going for what I feel.

I only saw that once you said it but I do agree that it does look like that and probably needs to be changed.

2 years? That's kinda overdoing things, isn't it?

Not continuously, pixelling takes a lot of time so sometimes you end up taking big breaks from it or just giving up. It's awesome that Celtic is determined to finish it even after so long.

I honestly havent really done any work on it for 2 years, tried to start it up after a year but wasnt in the mood so I'm only picking up where I left off 2 years ago. Cumulative time hasnt been that long (~5hours I guess) its just that im not a natural pixeler and find the work a bit dull at times (Shading teeth over and over has no variety and really takes it out of me but the mouth should be interesting.

Not happy with how his grill is going, needs more work.
