I need a converter to get my .swf to a youtube video file and I was told by someone that winff is good.

Is it safe? SiteAdvisor doesn't have anything on it.

ok now i know what you are talking about cool.gif i am not sure if it works, but try wmm, camtasia, or get sony vegas trial,
for window movie maker in the side bar there is produce movie as.....just put in your video and click produce as....then choose the type you want
for camtasia and sony vegas go under file, and save video (production, something like that) as....the save option besides save or save as

hope that helps

if it doesnt: try this:
http://media-convert.com/

Winff has worked excellently for me. It's totally free, it can convert movies en masse, and it works fairly well, a definite recommendation. Oh, and it's totally safe.

WMM doesn't support .swf.

Another question: I'm downloading a video from gamevee.com using orbit video downloader, but the .swf can't be played by anything and someone told me that it's most likely corrupted. I've tried downloading it like 5 times.

Anyone have a downloader that can download from any site? Orbit is great, but it's not working with this site. slanty.gif

www.mediaconverter.org is excellent, though it can only download from youtube, veoh, basically all the popular video websites
check it out

Anyways, I'm quite sure it's safe, but if you want you can download a recorder, such as hypercam and then revid it then use it by there.

I was thinking about that, but I don't know how to make it a higher quality .avi. slanty.gif

If anyone knows, go ahead. ice.gif

I dunno if it's still part of it (I think it was removed in the latest update), but realplayer had a function for downloading videos and active content that actually worked quite well. And you could also just get the video from your cache (type "about:cache" into your adress bar in FireFox, and then search for the site's URL, and manually hunt down the .SWF)

Ok, I found a plugin for firefox that works (thanks to vausey).

And the cache thing is cool. Thanks for telling me that. ice.gif
