It requires patience, dedication, and fair amount of intellectual intuition as to which items will be rising or decreasing. Merchanting is known to give you profits over the short term. You are allowed to liquidate and cycle your capital faster than investing. Investing requires you to hold the item for several days if necessary while merchants can sell everything off before each update. There are many guides out there that will go into far greater detail, and it will help if you skimmed through a couple of them to get a glimpse of what you are getting yourself into.
II. Quick Calculations
I've posted several intriguing facts about investing/merchanting that several of you might have not known.
1) It takes less than 15 minutes to update your offers
2) You can gain anywhere from 3 to 9% daily. If you have a decent amount to start off with... you do the math
3) The Grand Exchange updates once everyday, but the drawback is that there is no set time. Once we have a solid foundation in the merchant's business, we will set up a research project to figure the algorithm as to when the Grand Exchange updates - It will generate larger profits and minimize our risks.
4) There is a LIMIT on the stock of the item that you can buy in 4 hours. For example, for every 4 hours, you can buy 100 Santas. There is NO limit when you are selling the items. ex: You can sell 200 Santas in less than an hour.
III. Investor's Cartel
Our purpose is to unite and pool together members that have a sufficient amount of cash that they will be willing to put aside for investing. With larger numbers, the impact we can have on a market is significant. If you are still hesistant, I'll run the basics by you as we speak.
