What has better graphics?
The 2GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 4780
or
The 1GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 280
Please I just want to know which has better graphics...Not "which is better for the price" or what you prefer...Just Tell me which is better.
Also is Nvidia and ATI coming out with any new cards?
Thanks.

Why is it better? Is it that it runs faster? (I know nothing about ATI honestly.)

Yes, it's faster. That's why I linked to the review of it. Take a look forward to game benchmarks and you see how fast it is. And it's faster because it's two Radeon HD 4870 on a single PCB. It's two HD4870's with 1GB GDDR5 each in Crossfire.
This is more your speed...

. Now I see

. Is it worth Doing a Crossfire?

Right now, I'd say no. The scaling between CrossFireX2 (what it has) and CrossFireX4 (what you would have if you buy two) isn't good enough to warrant a >$1140 price for them together. Do realize, it's a power-hungry graphics card. That being said, your power supply may not be good enough to handle this card if you were to drop two of them in. Also a few more points...
1) The benchmarks are running at highest settings at 2560x1600
2) It typically blows a single GTX280 out of the water by far, typically matches or beats by a good margin two GTX260, and often beats two GTX280.
3) It's $570. I happen to know a way you can preorder it for $470, but I can't give you that link as it's based on membership in a specific forum.
4) Anti-aliasing is "cheap" now, and ATI's filters are often higher-quality than nVidia's filters.

Hm...If I did do Crossfire what would the minimum power supply be? 1100-1300w? So much for saving energy in this energy hungry world.

Yes, and putting two of these monster cards in CrossFireX4 would need a very-high wattage unit. I would refuse to use them on anything less than a 750W supply, and would likely want to use a 1kW+ unit for safety as it ages. Take a look at the advantages of getting two--the performance scaling is quite poor. Now the disadvantages--over a $1000 pricetag, gigantic power consumption, and poor scaling.
What system are you using now? Do realize two of these (HD4870X2 CF) won't work on an nVidia chipset, and using PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots are the best route (these are incredibly data-hungry as well).

I'm on a older computer with a Nvidia Chipset, since I am waiting for some parts to come in.

Give me a report of what you have, so I can tell you if you need anything else.

Wouldn't the Nvidia Geforce 9800 GX2 be better? If not, why?
Bob-sama

It's a good bit slower, actually. The 9800GX2 is a touch faster than the GTX280, nVidia's newest and highest end, though as those benchmarks show, the HD4870X2 beats both easily.

What is your opinion on the best speakers out there? Should I go with logitech?

Best speakers? How much you ready to spend? $100,000 may get you a decent setup...

Depending on what you want to spend, there are plenty of options. I am considering a Logitech X-240 set for college. For what you want, look at the Logitech Z-5500 or Z-2300.
