Is there any hardware device that monitor how much bandwidth you use.

I'm not looking for a software solution since I need to figure out how much my house's bandwidth use is

You could have really posted it in that topic.. mellow.gif

Anyway, I don't see why you need a hardware solution. There is software available, I am sure, that can monitor bandwidth on your network, otherwise you could just install the software onto each of the computers.

If you definitely need hardware for some reason, then I know of none. If you have a router, and have access to the router admin page, it may have some kind of meter on there - mine doesn't though. sad.gif

You need a router that supports SNMP, some computer software called PRTG (they have a free edition with limited functionality), and quite a bit of computer knowledge to set it all up. Doing it like this will monitor bandwidth on the router instead of on your PC. Your router is a device every PC on your network has to go through to connect to the Internet.

Search for "snmp router" on newegg. smile.gif
