ok i want to do a commentary vid for youtube but i dont know how. i have (registered) hypercam and microphone. i know how to edit, etc but not add commentary.
ok but... i know that the max length for the xp sound recorder is 1 minute. is there a time limit to the vista recorder?

You can change the limit in the xp version. Should be the same in Vista.
I remember I recorded something for 5+ minutes.
What you can do is right when it hits 60 seconds, hit the record button again and it will record for 120 seconds, and I think you can record it more still.
That or you can download Audacity to record for as long as you want.

thanks a lot for audacity but i would much rather find how to make the vista one last longer without clicking, oh well...

You go to File > Options and you can change it from there.
I'm pretty sure how it works on Windows Sound Recorder
