Is it possible to add Clan Chat quotes to the quotes section? The quotes from there are as funny as the ones from the forum. smile.gif
I could help with that if you want.
Twist of Fate
This may be a bit more diffuclt to do since sals has more to do about the forum and many people's forum names and runescape names are different.
Also, we'd probably want proof it was said. Maybe providing a screenshot of it along with it?

It still won't be perfect then but I'm trying. smile.gif
Topdog
I don't see any problem with this, as long as the quote is worth using for the newspaper.

Twist of Fate, I don't see the need for proof, we all might as well just accept the quote. Again, as long as the quote is worth using, then heck yes that the quote should be used in the next edition of the newspaper. It's not like there's anybody that desperate to come up with fake names and quotes.
Twist of Fate
Right, who would do that?

The quotes are picked by the newspaper staff so I dunno how you could help (unless you're on the paper and I'm just stupid).
Stobbo
Personally, I don't see a problem with it, but it might be worth putting it in a Clan Chat Quotes section. Screenshots would be beneficial to provide in my opinion.

Maybe they can be picked by some newspaper staff members in chat a lot?

I'm one of them.

I'm one of them.

Or the CMods could have a topic in their CMod forum where they post them all, and then a staff member, DM, or someone who can see both forums could post them in the quotes topic.
Twist of Fate
Bah! The nether group gets their say in the newspaper now?

Another good idear

I don't see why people can't submit quotes themselves. Why does it have to be a paper staff member?

The person would PM somebody on the paper staff and that person would post it in the quotes topic.

Is one "outside" person knowing one quote out of the dozens really that bad?

I see no problem with the section idea, but I'm not staff.

I see a reason for proof. It could in sense be abused by someone to attempt to 'tarnish' another persons reputation.

I agree with this.

So, let's say that I get a good quote, should I send it to any of the newspaper staff?
Twist of Fate
Yeah basically

What about, instead of all the quotes on the front page, make an entirely different section like "Graphics" or whatever, and have site and CC quotes in it?

An entire new section just for quotes? pfft.gif

I think a small section on the quotes page/just mixed in with the quotes is good enough. Don't think it needs a whole new section.
Twist of Fate
I agree, I think it should just go in a labled section under the forum quotes.
tawk
No, I don't mean that, I mean, move ALL the quotes from the front page to make it look more like a front page, then put the existing quotes PLUS the new CC quotes into another section?

Quotes do make up a lot of space on the front page..
Stobbo
Having a few of the best quotes, with a link to the page with the full list would be good.

Incorrect. I don't play Runescape anymore.

Edit: Send them to Stobbo or Jamster, preferably Stobbo (he knows why)

I agree with Stobbo, the quotes take a lot of space out of the main page. It could be used for something else, I guess.
