Why would you use 2, especially when a newer version, 3, is out.

Firefox 3. I like the FF2 theme better, but it rally doesn't matter.

Why would you want to use 2 anyway?

Once Firefox 3 has all of the themes and skins updated, it will be a lot better. Otherwise, it seems a lot faster and secure.

I use FF3, I haven't used FF2 yet.

Firefox 3 is better.

im switching between that and google chrome ( chrome crashes on youtube sometimes)
videos load alot faster for me.

I did a phased switchover, where I ran Firefox 3 on my Laptop and Firefox 2 on my PC, and I found it hard to use Firefox on my PC after a while, which is when I decided to fully switch to Firefox 3. I really like the new address bar feature, where it searched your history and bookmarks, without needing to actually type the first part of the url in.



If your using Firefox 3, I doubt you'll ever use Firefox 2.


Also, technically this should be in Polls & Surveys, however it is more than just a poll right now, and there is discussion going on, I will leave it be in Tech Discussion.

I'd prefer to use 2 over 3, firefox is just like vista! They change things and overcomplicate, firefox 2 was a nice little addition.

Firefox 2 is an insecure browser with security flaws, so your putting your computer at risk by using it. You should always upgrade to the latest version in order to patch these flaws.

I'm using Firefox 3 and liking it. It's faster and I like the Awesome Bar



There still giving security updates to Firefox 2, so it doesn't have any more security flaws then Firefox 3.

However there focus is on Firefox 3, so it is far better to be using it.

It probably is better using FF3, but FF2 doesn't have to many obvious flaws and it is unlikely that something could go wrong using it. I'm probably just going to go back to safari or i'll move on to chrome once google get their bums in gear!

FF2 looks sexier, but FF3 is more stable, faster and more secure (AKA better).

I use firefox 2 personally, i absolutely HATE the new adress bar feature in FF3. I understand why people like it... but i prefer the old, more simpler version.

I have 3 and 2. Mainly, becuase 3 is better in most ways, but it has vista parental control compatibilities! But 2 doesn't so i use firefox 2 for downloading.

I had 2 (after switching over from IE7) for a little while before switching to Firefox 3.

I thought it would be better and more secure, the main reason that I switched over anyway .

Why use FF2 if FF3 is more secure and so much better?

I use my own skins anyways, so I don't really care about the difference between 2 and 3.
