What do I need to do in order to capture a "video" from runesape and turn it into an image, ie, gif? I need a animated pic of a skillcape emote for my fleth guide so that's why I'm asking.

Thanks for any help. smile.gif

First you will need a free screen recorder or atleast a trial of a good one, such as Hypercam or Camtasia. (I recommend just using the trial version of camtasia, No silly watermark.)

Next, pick a size for your image and set the recorder to capture that size.

Now record and use the emote. laugh.gif

Stop recording, save the recording and open it up in something like windows movie maker.

Now find the part you actually want in your animated image and click the 'Capture frame' button, it looks like a camera. Do this for >>EVERY<< frame of what you want.

I'm not sure what you will be able to do at this point :| I personally use photoshop but not everyone has it.

Open all the frames up in a photo editor of your choice and copy and paste each frame one on top of the other so that the last frame is on top and the first is at the bottom. Now save as a .gif file and check on your internet browser to see if it works by going to File -> Open.

ice.gif If you're still having trouble or its not working just ask, I'd be happy to help.

Don't bother doing it frame by frame if you have photoshop.

Just import the avi/mpeg to Photoshop (CS3) or Imageready (<CS3).

It will run you through a wizard that allows you to create the animation, taking part of the video, and choosing how many frames to remove (I would recommend removing every 4th-5th)

-Goes and checks-

The only possibly movie-related files my Photoshop Elements 3 can open up is Filmstrip (.FLM) Or Camera Raw (.TIF, .CRW, .NEF, .RAF, .ORF, .MRW, .DCR, .MOS, .RAW, .PEF, .SRF, .PNF, .DNF, .DNG, .X3F, .CR2, .ERF) unsure.gif
