At my school, in quite a few courses it is practically required to have a memory stick. The school only let us have 100mb of space on the school network, which is nothing.

That's pretty harsh.

My school gets like 50GB computers, which totals up to 3TB in all. But, most of the students at my school use only a very small portion of the hard drive. Although the programs that are set on the computer takes up a few GB themselves, the students use really only < 500KB/year.

The 100mb limit is purely artificial, they have a huge amount of disk space, they just give us 100mb each. I have like 300mb of work in the past year...

That 100MB thing is useless. I've had to upload over 6GB of data onto the school network. Of course, I had to get permission, but I could still do it.

I'm going to be using my memory stick more often during my Drafting course once I get my MacBook outfitted with AutoCAD. Then I'll be flipping back and forth between their Windows PC's and my MacBook.
