To take a screenshot, press the button on your keyboard labelled "Print Screen" (or similar, like "Prnt Scrn"). Then paste it into paint and upload it on an imagehosting website.

Did you attempt to paste it into Paint? Because nothing observable really happens when you take a screenshot, you have to open Paint (or a similar program) and go Edit > Paste to see if it worked. If that didn't work, try this:
Go to Start and open up the Help and Support Center. Type "Print Screen" into the search bar and click on the result which should be something like "Take a picture of what is on your screen". If your computer has a different Print Screen method than normal, it will be stated there.

After doing Print Screen .. if pasting doesnt work by mouse then try pressing Ctrl + V at the same time. [While Ms Paint window is out]
