Well, I was browsing the forums and got bored... So I went and looked at an image's filesize in my signature... I was lucky I found out before a Mod did...
...I found out that the image I had in my signature was 77kB in filesize... Here it is...
Is there a way I can 'decrease' the filesize of the image to under 60kB? Thanks...

I think he wants to know how you did that Ming.. I'm guessing you had to sacrifice some quality there to do that..

I've found a decent way to reduce the filesize of PNG files without sacrificing much quality. Essentially I save the file as PNG8 format. My friend showed me how to do this.
I use an open source editor called GIMP from gimp.org. The program is a fully featured image editor. I install the Save For Web addin to the program. You might find some difficulty getting this addin depending on the operating system you are using. The Save For Web addin provides some additional options when saving files. At the upper left, you can choose to save your PNG in PNG8 or PNG24 formats. The PNG8 format results in a significant reduction in file size. I usually get about 40% savings.
I know these instructions are not the best, but it's a good starting point.

An easier way is to go into GIMP, save it as a .jpg and set it to 100% quality. Looks exactly the same as .PNG but a heck of a lot less in filesize.

Png takes up to much kb's so I just go with jpg so I odn't have to worry
But as Amanda says set it to 100% quality so theres no diff from png-jpg
