How do i make pictures transparent and crop them?
Xaria
You would crop the picture before making it transparent. The way you crop depends on what program you're working in. In Paint, there are little blue (or white) squares in the corners that you can drag inwards to crop. In programs like GIMP, you can specify the dimensions of the document before creating it.

As for making it transparent, there are a few different ways you can go about that, depending on the programs you have. If you like GIMP, [here's] a tut for that. Or Paint.NET. Or PhotoShop. Or you could simply use Paint and the website iaza.com ([here's] a tut for that). I like that last method the best, and I find it fairly quick and easy.

You also have the alternative of making a request in the Digital Requests section so someone else can do it for you.

Download Irvanfiew then get your image and open it up on Paint. Then trace the line of the image that you want to get transparent, when you trace the image, you need a color that isn't in your image. After you're done with tracing it, make the outside background the same color that you have traced. Ok, Now, save that image and click on Irvanview and paste it in. Press CTRL+S and under the form....Where it says: GIF: Check the Save Transparent Color, Choose transparent color during saving, On top, where it says JPEG, Check all the options that star with the word 'Keep', Now a box will appear and you click on the BACKGROUND, do not click on the image. After you are done, you will have your transparent image. smile.gif

Works good on Windows XP smile.gif
