Are you sure you don't mean a Sony Vaio?
- Dark -
If you're using it for general games + flash, i'd either go for the Vaio, or an Apple MacBook. Of those, i'd choose the Macbook, as Macs are generally better with hardware, and i could download things all day and not get a virus. Plus Macs have great software (Quark, Adobe runs great too) and most games run better. But I may be a little favoring to Macs, as i've tried Windows, and I hated it.

Asus EEEPC.

@ posts 5,6,7: He said he's looking for a Sony Vizio, which I believe he means a Sony Vaio. There is no need to give other manufacturers and models if he's already decided on the model he wants. If you're not sure, just ask if the OP is willing to look into another manufacturer, model, or operating system, but don't jump into throwing out suggestions without the OP's input.

Actually, Macs aren't that great for gaming. Only a fraction of games are made for Macs. If he wants to game, go Windows. Also, Macs are getting more vulnerable as they become more popular.

Don't get me wrong - I love my MacBook. <3 But I still use one of our Windows desktops to do my gaming on.

If you're gaming, don't get a Mac.

I have that HP DV5 except a lot better spec'd. Typing on it atm tongue.gif its a good laptop but i would recommend an inspirion 1525 with no fancy stuff. Seriously!!! those laptops are brilliant, there small light and brilliant to use.

Even a Dell mini would be adaquet or an eee-900

My sister has an EEEPC.
It is a great little thing.
Cheap, and anyways, macs are overpriced alot.
With Windows its sure to get an okay gaming.
About viruses, yes, there are many, the only you need is anti-malware and protection.
Dont buy anything though, they are bad quality. tongue.gif

I don't get it. I know that he said he was seeking for a Sony Vaio, but what the other posters and I were trying to point out was that there are many other great alternatives to the Sony Vaio that may possibly be even better. If you ask for something, would you want only the very specific results you asked for, or would you like that along with similar and possibly better items?

I am looking to get a notebook early next year, and I would like taking a look at the Inspirion. I hear that it's a really good home-use notebook, and since I don't do that much hardcore stuff I'll be fine with it. smile.gif

Basically I"m starting my business selling EeePCs shortly, so from that perspective...

-Asus's EeePC line has the best battery life.
-Acer Aspire One is the "most stylish"
-The MSI Wind is a good combo of price and feature, versus the EeePCs.

I'll be selling the Eee PC 900HA XP, 904HA XP, 1000 40G, Acer Aspire One A150X (120GB + 160GB versions), and MSI Wind (160B version w/ 6-cell battery).

i reccomend this:

Here
Sorry its on a British Website. try searching it on a US/EU store. i find this an amazing Laptop for the price. If you dont like buy a Vaio. They are quite good. Get the silver one tongue.gif

EDIT: Sorry i acciedently bumped the topic =O
Sorry
Magical
Personally I'd recommend the Apple Macbooks. People just say they're crap and over priced, but they work very fast and smooth, and barely anything crashes (because the laptop and the OS are made by the same people...) They look good as well, and are a great investment!
