there’s some good refurbished ones too like http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/se...AIN#detailspecs
don’t know if i want to risk getting a refurbished one but people online are always telling me to build one, that doesn’t seem to be cost effective and i suspect they do it purely to boast there own ego's is there any flaws with the tiger direct computers and would you as well suggest to build my own? any advice is apreciatiated

Building your own is an option but you need to find an e-retailer that will provide the parts to you in australia.

If tiger direct is shippable to you....

Motherboard - $110

CPU - $85
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=3426

Graphics card - $155
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1826

PSU - $80
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1079

case - $50
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1859

RAM - $32/$61
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=3412

If you don't want to go for the rebate theres others out there

Hard drive + CD = $90

OS = $100
Total = $562

But you can do it for cheaper using only tiger direct... but its up to you

that plus AC7 Freezer = 3.9-4.1ghz OC.
Or jump on an E8400
Info1994
[bump]

CPU: E8400 @ $265
Graphics card: Generic 4850 @ $209
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA EP45-DS3L @ $164
PSU: Corsair HX-520 @ ~$140 or Corsair VX-450 @ ~$100
Case: CM/RC-690 @ ~$120 or CAC-T05 @ ~$105
RAM: 4GB Kit (2x2GB) 800MHz generic @ ~$75 Spend ~$120 or so on OCZ RAM if you're planning to overclock. tongue.gif
HDD: WD SATA 640GB @ $99

Total: $918 - $1072

Excluding OS and Crysis itself. Might be overkill though, not sure since that's more or less the build that I plan to get within the next fortnight. All prices are from MSY...

You could risk skimping on the PSU and using the stock one that comes with the case, but well if your PSU fails, you risk everything else dying... sad.gif 4GB of RAM is overkill, so you might as well just get 2GB unless you're running a 64bit OS.

P.S. I'm assuming that you're in Australia since you posted that you had $1000AUD to spend. tongue.gif If not don't hit me.

P.P.S. No flaming pl0x sad.gif
