1. Why I would like to join:
I want to join sal's paper because i have wanted to be apart of something in sal's and this seems the best way to start (and I am trying to get better at writing.)
2. Desired section:
I would like to be part of Runescape Discussion because, I like writing reviews on new stuff that is happening in runescape and it helps me keep up with the new updates myself.
3. My experience:
Currently I only have a little experience. This small things like writing for a class newspaper and such. But in about a mouth I will be doing journalism so I can get more experience.
4. My example:
Here is an example of my last runescape update review.

darkside's Review

This week I am reviewing the recent update Stealing Creation! Even though the name doesn't seem to impressive or fit the mini game it is excellent. It starts with two teams, team red and team blue. The objective of this game is to make stuff and get points for so worthy rewards.
When you start it is a lot like castle wars start with starting in a safe spot, that the other team can not attack you inside. Once you leave you are able to be attacked but don't worry the other team still needs to get there stuff to attack with. Most people use magic just because you can bind, but the few that range or melee will need to be strong. Getting back on topic you need to go and get stuff to make arrows, runes, or armorer. When you start you will need to find something you can do like fishing, woodcutting, mining, or hunting. Instead of getting like fish or wood you will receive clay that can be transformed into the stuff.
After getting stuff the best way to get points would be to make arrows and go back to your base and despite them. Don't carry many or if you die or they steal from you, you may lose them and all that work worthless. This game is fun and great for skillers and even fighters!

Let alone the misleading name Stealing Creation or the ancient people that make you lose tons of work. The rewards are worth it because of how easy it is to get points, darkside gives it a 9.5/10
Almost a perfect update just the ancient people are annoying and the misleading name.

But what can I say no update can be perfect!

This week I am reviewing the kind of old update Summoning. Yes, summoning is final here a time for spiritual monsters wizard.gif. These monsters aren't all that bad though. From level 40 on they start to get good, like the bull ant or bunyip. These monsters can heal you, teleport you places, fight for you or hold stuff. Personally I think the fighters are useless because it is like getting double teamed. This is currently the hardest level to level in and the most expensive.
Let alone the expensiveness and the hard leveling I give it a 8.5!
Could be better or worse.

Not a bad update for a new skill.

Today I will be reviewing the Grand Exchange. The wait is over it is finally here, after all these dissatisfying updates from no more player killing to 3k max trade limit. You might think this is amazing and how could this backfire. WRONG! Now jagex is able to keep the prices where they want and can say when they want them to go up and go down. Pretty annoying say just bought stuff to like make money. Oops jagex feels like dropping the price a ton so now you have lost from a few thousand coins to millions and millions. Pretty bad update except that you can sell stuff when not playing which can come in hand.
Let alone that Jagex controls the market now not the players which makes this game the most non-realistic game online. On the other hand you can sell without being online. I give it a 7.25!
It went up to 7.25 from about a 3 because on the fourm you can suggest price rise or drop, probably won't happen but a place to speak your mind.

Your examples are fairly good, although they have multiple spelling and grammar mistakes. pfft.gif But once you start writing articles for the Newspaper, I'm sure someone will catch those when reviewing it. biggrin.gif

Your examples are also fairly short, but are good enough for an application. Try to make your articles a little bit longer once you are on the Newspaper Staff. smile.gif

Congratulations! You have been accepted into the Newspaper Staff!
Your permission masks should be added fairly soon. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or another Newspaper Staff member. smile.gif
