2. Desired section: Runescape Discussion - a section I feel I would enjoy and benefit too most.
3. My experience: I've often written reviews for many different topics, and have grown used to them. I've written school newspapers and newsletters a few times, and I'm developed in both descriptive and analytical writing.

Genius’s review- The Grand Exchange:
Jagex has introduced a new way to trade – the Grand Exchange. This updates allows player to skip the hassle of hanging around in banks, waiting for people to buy there wares.
Now all you have to do is go to the Grand Exchange (conveniently situated above Varrock West Bank, that used to be the most popular trading place), and people can buy your items, and you can buy there’s, from anywhere!
Using your slots (freeplayers have 2 slots available to them, while members have a full 6), you can put up offers to buy or sell any trade-able items. To make things even easier, you can then travel around freely, knowing that if an offer is accepted, you can collect your products from any bank, so no waiting around is involved!
And, this helps to stabilise the Runescape economy. Using “market prices”, players can not buy or sell items for any amount, as you can now only put an offer up for a certain amount of money, which changes depending on the supply and demand.
However, this also has it’s downsides. Now, richer players can simply buy up all of one item, like Gold Ore, then, when other players, want to buy some, they find there is none left on the Grand Exchange. As the demand goes up, so does the price – so the rich players can quite easily sell back the Ore for a large profit, se be cautious!
But, despite the manipulative possibilities, the Grand Exchange of course bring numerous bonuses to all players, allowing more, quicker ways of earning money, and a much easier access to a wide variety of items.
My Rating: 9.5/10

Genius’s review – Pest Control:
Pest Control is a multiplayer, safe (you keep items on death) mini-game, which anyone with 40 combat or above can play. Simply go to Port Sarim, and from there find a Squire who can transport you to the Void Knight Outpost by boat. Once you arrive, board one of the landers, and your playing!
Pest Control is a very simple mini-game, and each game only lasts several minutes. The objective is to destroy all 4 “portals”, before either you run out of time (this takes 20 minutes, and almost never happens), or if the void knight dies. There are two main plan of attacks: defending the Void Knight – this gets more xp, as you are killing many low-levelled monsters, or attacking the portals – this leaves you more at risk to the various creatures that come out of these portals, and you are more likely to die, and you get less xp, but this method makes the game much quicker.
The rewards are also bountiful. After each game, you earn 1 “Void Knight Point”, which can be spent on rewards, as well as coins, the number of which depends on your combat level. The main reward that players choose are xp – which you can receive in Attack, Strength, Defence, Range, Magic, Hitpoints, and Prayer. You can also choose to receive “packs”, which contain equipment for herblore, farming or smithing. A reward more popular amongst higher levels is the armour. For a total of 250 points, you can buy a single piece of Void Knight armour, which comes in 3 forms - melee, range, and magic. These are very useful piece’s of armour, which provide good bonuses.
However, Pest Control does not provide very good xp. During the game, the creatures that you kill give fairly low experience, and the rewards give little help compared to the effort put into gaining them. Also, despite Pest Control game being quite short, the games are very repetitive.Because of this, my rating is:
7.5/10

Well, hopefully I'll be accepted into the Newspaper staff, but if there is anything I need to improve on, I would be more than happy to do so.
