I suppose I'm honing my storywriting skills, and doing it in the Paper may help. Would be a fun experience to do in my free time.

Introductionary story to the Roleplay, Silver Dawn

It is the year 1803 in the lands of Gielenor. Nine years before, a Spanish explorer arrived on the shores of our lands, bringing gifts, weaponry, and excellent new ship designs. Now, nine years later, they're back. Adventurers on Karamjan ferry docks saw a ship in the fog... and another, and another. An armada of ships. The unorganized Karamja and it's pirates fell in less than a day.
Sometime later, a Spanish warsloop, thinking it could take Karamja's neighbor, Thorgie Hills, sailed into Frelia bay and was blasted to tinderwood by waiting magi. The Spanish armada then fell back to Karamja, and islands further out in the Nearch sea, ones that Gielenor's adventurers had not discovered.
Thorgie hills, at that time, was developing ship building. Infact, they have studied this so much, the craftsmenship of the builders rivaled current vessels in England. Thorgie hills had a small fleet, which they pitted against the Spanish armada. Using Guerilla tactics, they sunk several small warships. However, their luck went awry when the Spanish flagship sailed up to the little fleet. It's thick hulls repelled cannonballs. The Thorgie fleet was all but wiped out. Shipbuilders were racing to create new vessels.
Shortly afterwards, the Silver Dawn (crownship of Aquilia) with the royal fleet, arrived from it's trip from Mos Le' Harmless. The captain turned back to Mos Le' Harmless after surveying the situation. The Aquilian fleet was too small to battle Spain. Aquilia turned to the adventurers of the lands to help.
