I've been trying to upload the footage from the christams party for 8 days but sadly it has taken more than 5 hours to upload. And it Stayed at 0% when I also tried it on a program called FireUpload.
My OS is Vista
My Connection is very good.

I would advise you put it into windows movie maker, then publish the movie, it will then be a .wmv (and will be significantly smaller).
Use some good compression. 1.7 gigs, geez! YouTube only accepts up to 1GB, so it'll be pointless uploading it anyway.
